No Team HARD at media day tomorrow as their cars are not exactly what you would call…finished.

There’s also supposed to be an announcement about Lea Wood tonight.

IP tech (Andy Neate) are debuting at Donnington so will miss the opening round at Brands. they have also applied for 2 cars this season.

    So report InsideBTCC.

Lea Wood will compete in his S2000 Vectra in the Jack Sears’ trophey.

Bit dissapointed by that, I’d hoped he’d get the second Speedworks seat.
That seat I assume is still open but little time before the season starts now

With so many cars, i wouldnt be surprised to see drivers struggling to see the lights at Oulton!

28 cars for the season opener (so far) is not bad, with more cars yet to come we could reach the grid limit during the season.

  • Profile picture of Ratboy Ratboy said 2 months ago:

    What was the limit again?

2 from Andy Neate and 1 maybe 2 from Chris Stockton to come after the opening round as well

Article 1.4.1 in the regulations says the maximum grid size is 32.

Speaking of capacity grids, we have one! Other news this morning is that the BTC Racing Chevy and second IP Tech Chevy will enter from Snetterton onwards. British GT racer Michael Caine will also join in the second S2000 Motorbase Focus at Donington Park. All the numbers and official team names have been confirmed.

Great to see such a healthy field. 32 cars – now that’s a proper grid!
