The DTM is back and among the changes to the championship for 2015 is double-header race meetings. As in Formula Renault 3.5 there will not be qualifying and a race on Saturday, then the same again on Sunday.
Marco Wittmann is out to defend his 2014 crown but he’s up against a super-strong field including seven other former champions: Mattias Ekstrom, Paul di Resta, Martin Tomczyk, Bruno Spengler, Timo Scheider, Mike Rockenfeller and Gary Paffett – the latter’s car now run by crack single-seater squad ART.
Also in the field is ex-F1 racer Timo Glock and Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein. Last year’s European Formula Three runner-up Tom Blomqvist has also joined the growing number of exciting single-seater talent to end up in the DTM.
