Found it. You have a missing closing span tag in the postmetadata paragraph. If you look at the source you’ll see that the code looks like this:
No Comments »
However, it needs to be:
And as a result Chrome decides to automatically put the closing tag in a different place from Opera like you can see here:

Hope it works. I tried editing the source in Opera and it worked so should be fine.

Oh, man. You are not escaping comments! You have to in order to see the source I posted. Otherwise I can do something like an alert: alert(“I am stealing your banking cookies and putting them in my own jar!”);
Me again. Sorry for the spam. Just noticed that you can’t edit your own posts. All I get is a page without any forms (Opera and Chrome).
Thanks for the quick replies everyone including @alianora-la-canta and @graemehunter
@morpheus Regarding ‘escaping comments’ – I’ll send you a message on that.
Regarding not being able to edits comments, I just did so successfully in Chrome so not sure what the problem is here.
Guests can comment on the main site but you have to be logged-in to participate in the forum.
@morpheus Good call on the span tag. It’s fixed, will have it on the live site later.
Fixed
Large image display problems in Opera (thanks @morpheus)
Keith, I got a notification that I had been tagged in a post in this thread. But when I go into it, the post is not there, and the notification icon re-appears at the top of the screen. Similarly, the front page says the article has 34 comments, but when I got into it, it says the article only has 33. I tried a forced cache refresh (Ctrl + F5), but nothing changed.
@Prisoner-Monkeys It could be because someone replied to you but their comment was abusive or something, and as a result it was removed.
@KeithCollantine A few months back (I believe it was before the Indian Grand Prix) you said the top 20 commenters feature would be back after the race. There’s no rush, but is this something that’s likely to return? It’s just the bit that says “See below for a list of the users who have posted the most comments in the last 30 days” may need removing if not.
@damonsmedley – it was actually you who tagged me in that thread.
Anyway, the problem has since fixed itself.
I’m logged in and I can’t make a new topic when I’m on the homepage. I can’t edit a message as well…
@keithcollantine scrolling on iPhone 4 is much better. Still not as flawless as it used to be, but at least I can use tha full site now, which was impossible before tha fix. – EDIT — Too soon! It gets worse again after à few minutes. For now I’ll be using mobile version again.
…. the mobile site version needs some redoing….. also now after the latest update, i have some serious problem even loading the site…. probably because practically everything is displayed on the “main site” now, …. i liked the old version so much better…. but the scrolling problem is also quite frustrating…. and thats on an iPhone 4S….
@verstappen What is scrolling like on article pages?
@LexBlair
practically everything is displayed on the ‘main site’ now
That sounds to me like you’re not seeing the mobile site – it sounds like you’re just viewing the normal site?
@keithcollantine It starts okay but gets worse. I’m not sure if it gets worse over time or if number of comments adds to it. After I read your reply, I switched to full site and read tha bookreview from tha Guy from Lotus. This was okay. Then I picked round up and tried to scroll down in comments. Then everything froze.
@verstappen Thanks for the feedback, it’s very useful because obviously I can’t test on every phone at once!
I’ll keep working on it.
