    @keithcollantine

    The comment area now loads correctly in both landscape and portrait orientation for me. It doesn’t flick back to the top when attempting to scroll in portrait mode.

    However, the homepage is loading all the content from your articles, minus the comments field. It was like this a few days ago but over the weekend it looked spot on. It’s reverted back this morning, however.

    Hi guys, I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this but I keep getting the Mobile site instead of the full site when browsing. I’m using Chrome (fully updated). The latest round-up for example is only displaying for me as the mobile version.

    @nefor I’m getting that problem on Opera as well. very odd – it seems to only be affecting the most recent story on the site.

    There is a temporary fix in place for the mobile site problem – this basically just displays the standard theme which works quite well on high-end smartphones.

    I’m working on a better solution though which should display properly on smaller screens.

    There is a related glitch where some adverts appear to be causing faults on the site for certain phones.

    If the site isn’t displaying correctly (or at all) on your phone it would be useful to know what model you’re using, what browser and any details of the problem.

    @Keith Collantine
    It would be much easier to brows through the picture galleries if there was an arrow beside it and so that the next picture would not refresh the whole site and pop up the picture. An example done in Paint, blue arrow: http://i44.tinypic.com/wvxtky.jpg

    The red circle is to notify how it’s now where you have to press on the tumbnails and then the whole page will reload with the new picture, which is just waste of time and memory I’d imagine.

    I’ve had several questions about the difficulty of getting @-messages right. There is an explanation in the FAQ however I’d like to make it more intuitive.

    The next version of the site will include an improvement which will hopefully make it a lot clearer – next to comments you’ll be able to see each @-message name along with the username to prevent mix-ups. At the moment I can’t say when it’s going to be introduced but I aim to do so before the new season starts.

    @dam00r Thanks for the suggestion.

    @keithcollantine – I’m not sure if anyone else has reported this, but I have got two little issues to report from recent days:

    1) Sometimes, the page does not load. I get the seach function and profile options, site navigation in the dark bar and the F1 Fanatic banner at the top of the page, but the rest of the page is blank. I have to refresh the page a few times to get it to load properly

    2) Sometimes when I go into articles, only the comments are visible, and they are stretched across the entire page. There is no article, side menu of articles and forums or advertising. On one occasion, all of the comments were in white text, and simply appeared as one block of text on the page, so a dozen posts were devoid of any actual content (I have been unable to re-create this phenomena). I have noticed this happens most often with the daily round-ups. I cannot make the page load properly by refreshing it, though the issue corrects itself when a new post is added to the page (but will sometimes revert back when a second new post is added, and later corrects itself). Eventually, the page stabilises itself.

    These two issues have only come up in the past week or so.

    In Chrome the site rarely loads beyond the title-bar. If the homepage does load, none of the articles then open properly- the actual article content is missing, and the comments are displayed with some overlay of any images/videos that are meant to be in the article. It’s been like this for a couple of days now.

    Edit: Exactly the same as PM. If the homepage doesn’t load, none of the site is in any accessible.

    I’m still having the same problems.

    Seems a few posts have disappeared from the article: “Less than a second covers 2012-spec cars in Catalunya test”.

    I haven’t refreshed my IE browser so it still has my post and a few others, but on my Mac (FireFox browser) a few posts including mine has disappeared. I posted on 5th March 2012, 6.47 as shown on my IE browser, but doesn’t appear in my Firefox browser (it would’ve been the 44th post).

    There’s a lot of recent content missing through chrome too.

    @vho @matt90 Thanks – see the explanation in today’s round-up:

    @keithcollantine Also, there’s a rather small problem. In the twitter directory, the jump link for the F1 tracks and races does not work properly when clicked, it jumps to the middle of the F1 drivers and teams list. Also nothing happens when you click on former f1 drivers jump link as well.

    @mitz1111 Ads are not there for decoration. They are there because I have to earn a living.

    If you use an ad blocker you are taking everything I put into the site and preventing me from earning any money.

    As I wrote in the round-up last month, site revenue is not great at the moment. It’s no exaggeration to say that if it got worse I would be unable to keep running the site.

    I had this conversation with someone else recently and let me say to you what I said to them:

    Please turn your ad blocker off.

    If you have a problem with an ad of any kind, let me know and I’ll take care of it:

    Reporting an advertising problem

    Reporting a technical problem
