    Say if I’m late for qualifying, is there a way to be invited in for the race start?

  • Profile picture of electrolite electrolite said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @jezson I think it’s only @David-A who is struggling to make it at the minute.

    @David-A how late are you thinking? I’m sure we could all hold out for ten minutes or so. I don’t think there’s a way of a late invite.

    @Electrolite @David-A – On the contrary, I believe if someone is invited, and they join before the race starts (aka during qualifying) then they watch quali, and start at the back of the grid, I believe. (You just can’t be invited without a previous invite)

    BREAKING NEWS: PEACOCK ON VERGE OF LOTUS BREAKAWAY
    ——————————————————————————————-

    After months of struggling in the Lotus Oli Peacock has come out with this press release statement:

    ‘Im not happy with the support or development of the car, When we started in Australia we were less than a tenth of pole but as the season has drawn on the car isn’t being turned around and falling into the clutches of the mid-field teams. So for my career in Formula 1, I’ve decided that based on the performance of myself and the car at Monza, i might be moving to a privateer car in hope of being able to challenge for wins, as i have felt other cars are more suited to my style of driving plus someone has got to stop Moss! The contracts I’ve been offered are not for discussion but they are not currently on the 2012 grid, thank you….’

    This statement is quite a something as all cars have equal downforce and power thanks to the E2012 regulations, but Oli has now pubically stated that his Lotus future depends on his performance at the High-Speed Monza circuit, all is at stake now for Lotus you could be only running 1 car for the rest of the season.

    @tongy95 – That is a real shame mate, and something I wished you’d have mentioned at the start, but no worries. It’s a shame to lose you, and we now need to find a replacement! :L
    @jezson – Hurrah. You’re back, and yes we have missed you. :) Also good that you can make Monza :D
    @david-a – I’m sure, if everyone’s Ok with it, as electrolite says, we can hold on for a bit. As Jamie also says, I can invite you just before we start, and if you’re able to accept it within the time limit, you can join during Qualifying, miss Quali, then start the race from the back :)
    @shyguy1992 – No worries mate :)

    @bradley13 If @tongy95 can’t make the Sunday races, why does he not come over to the Saturday, then he does not have to completly drop out?

  • Profile picture of Bradley Downton Bradley Downton said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @formula-1 – That is a FANTASTIC idea. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! :L @tongy95 – What d’you think?

    BREAKING NEWS: TONGE OUT AT MERCEDES
    ——————————————————————
    It has been confirmed late on Wednesday afternoon that Alex Tonge has parted company with the Mercedes team. It was Jamie Franklin who had originally signed to race for Mercedes alongside Jez Hancox this year, but at the last minute he announced a mix-up meant he could not attend Sunday races, leading to the creation of the F2 League, and a spare seat at Mercedes. Tonge had originally signed for F2, and was moved into the F1 league at the eleventh hour as a replacement. He started the first four races but with no prior testing, struggled to get to grips with the new car and tyres. Rumours started flying when he failed to turn up at the Nurburgring for the Luxembourg GP, and it has finally been confirmed Tonge and Mercedes have parted company. It is believed to be due to sponsorship issues, though neither party was available for comment. The latest rumour is that Tonge is targeting a return to the F2 Championship.

    Ok guys: @MoSs-611, @BROOKSY007, @ed24f1, @abboracing, @olliekart, @f199player, @shyguy1992, @RoboCAT, @david-a, @jezson, @kcampos12, @shaneb123456789, @electrolite, @spud – This is a major ask. But would any one of you, maybe someone in the lower reaches of the League, or someone fed up with LAG, prefer to drop into the F2 League. The only difference is they race on Saturday’s. It’s just with tongy’s departure, we have an odd number in here, and maybe instead of filling it, we should drop another, as that may improve the LAG issues. Any ideas? or any guys willing to drop?

    I can only really do Sundays now. And it’s not really lag that grinds my gears, it’s the attitudes that get to me.

  • Profile picture of Oli Peacock Oli Peacock said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @Bradley13 If no one else takes up that offer i will

  • Profile picture of Bradley Downton Bradley Downton said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @electrolite – No worries :), by the way, the LAG… ‘not my fault’…. ;) haha
    @olliekart – :O…

  • Profile picture of Jezson Jezson said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @bradley13 – I don’t mind either way, if you think it’s best I go? I’m bottom anyway after a race of other people’s ‘not my fault’ lag and missing 2 races…

  • Profile picture of Oli Peacock Oli Peacock said 11 months, 1 week ago:

    @bradley13 i know it seems odd, but it means i can go karting EVERY sunday which is something i dream about lol plus it means i can race with no lag and its slightly more relaxed. Plus i dont rate the speed of the drivers any lower in F2 all of them could quite easily do well in f1 so it isnt like im doing it for glory :P
