A few weeks ago my Cousin bought a Ferrari thrustmaster racing wheel for f1 2011. he then left the country and gave me the steering wheel. i played with it for a week but then reverted back to ps3 controller. i can do some respectable times with the ps3 controller for example 1:15.1 in Hungary. but some people are doing 1:13.8′s. i feel like i have hit a wall where i cant go any faster on the gampad. so my question to you guys is is there a limit to how fast you can go on the ps3 controller ? is a racing wheel better than a gamepad ? is it easier to achieve faster (insane) times on the wheel then the gampad or does it depends on the player ?

@aimalkhan I’ve heard that the racing wheels can actually be a LOT faster than Ps3 controllers yeah :/ I use a controller but on some tracks theres no way you can get faster than good wheel users

@aimalkhan as a wheel user i cant boast enough about them, the reason that controllers are slower than wheels, is a thing called imput lag basically if you whack the joystick to right the change of direction will be slow and gradual thus you cant bring in the same out of speed that a wheel user has because if i just go left hand hand straight away the car will react straight away, which why on tracks with quick changes of direction Melbourne, Monaco, Silverstone, Hungary etc you will loose more time to a wheel than on a fast flowing track with no quick changes of direction ie Spain, Hockenheim, Spa, Monza for example :)
