@sato113 Many bad things.
Couldn’t hook up a lap on my first run. Went out on my second run on new options and found how distracting the text chat could be as I missed my braking point into 8 whilst only a tenth down on Oli (A veritable achievement). Thought it was gonna be close with Tom until he blasted into 2nd, and so I retired and then Harry demoted me from 5th.
Race: DNF (6th, lap 21)
Got a good start off the line as usual, saw Tom get hit off and passed Bradley into T3. Then I set about Jamie for the total time of half a lap. May have passed him into 12 if I hadn’t gone on the kerb at 11 and gotten into yet another first lap crash. Got passed by Bradley, David and a Lotus and dived into the pits.
I made a last minute switch to Primes at the stop which may have prevented a (higher) finish. I was catching Jeff rather rapidly until he pitted in front of me, and I was also getting pretty close to abb when Silverkeg crashed and brought out the Safety Car, thank goodness. When the safety car came in I got a decent start despite having cold brakes and got past both David and another car to get up into 4th or 5th. David fought back when the RFA was enabled, though I hung onto him and passed beneath him at T3, nearly shoving him off the track (sorry David). After that I managed to keep him behind for the most part and Bradley and Tom were fast approaching.
After a good few laps shaving tenths and tenths off of Harry which were wasted after going wide at the penultimate turn, eventually Tom caught up and also had the advantage of the RFA, and so hoping to defend the inside I let him through on the pit straight, but he had too much of a speed advantage and got through. I managed to hang on through the stops for me and the Caterhams on laps 17 and 18 before binning it on lap 21 at turn 11. For the second year in a row I lost out to Tom because of turn 11. All fun up until then and there was a slight chance of passing Harry, especially seeing as he was passed by car 21 a good 5 or 6 laps from the end. Singapore being one my favourites I shall be hoping to challenge Oli for one of the few times this season.
