By the looks of my video, it looks as though I braked later than Shyguy and moved right slightly to avoid hitting into the back of him. I thought there was more room on the right, but apparently not, leading Theo to hit me and then me sliding into Shyguy.
Anyway, yeah I’m pretty bored of this game now, to be honest. I don’t know if it’s the small grids, the fact that Oli is so damn dominant or my lack of enthusiasm to want to play the game, I’m just not finding it very fun. I’ll still turn up to the races, since I don’t have much else to do on Sunday mornings, but I doubt I’ll be as competitive as I used to be, simply because I can’t be bothered to practice.
Obviously the game not being good enough to play for a whole year without it getting tiresome is Codemasters’ fault, as I played F1:CE for nigh on 2-3 years without it getting boring. But I think it’s partly the current Formula as well. I think in game, DRS it too effective, and the setups are just ridiculous, there is no span to to try different things, because one way is just far more effective than the other.
I’d like 2013 to be a different story, even if it’s just the fact that we have to do multiple stops in 50% races again, but I think the same thing will happen, and it will die out towards the end. I reckon 2014 and the new generation of consoles will be when we get a significantly better game (As F1 2013 has been said to be solely on this generation, despite the new consoles coming out later this year).
