Qualified 3rd.
My tyre wear was really high and my tyres were useless for the first stint so pitted on lap 6. At the end of that stint I was just ahead of Kevin but my front left was red on the display.
Pitted again on lap 18 on to the options and was much faster than everyone else but I couldn’t overtake so lost loads of time, finished 3rd.

For me what could go wrong, did go wrong because without the front wing the Williams was undriveable and would spin at the slightest push of the throttle and I was lapped within 2 laps because of that. On that basis should I change my username to Jean Dennis Deletraz :D

Qualified 4th, which I was very pleased with!

Got my customary awful start, dropping to 6th from 4th, but was pleasantly surprised to get around the first 4 corners without incident.

Then at Copse I went a bit wide, and @ljkobrien got passed me. Then at the first part of the Becketts / Maggots sweeper, he got some serious Mark Webber style air, and I got distracted and ran wide and then spun across the track, having got on the gravel. Probably lost about 10 to 12 seconds and was 11th when I regained the track.

Quickly picked my way back through to 8th place, and was about 11 seconds behind the battle for presumably 4th through 7th, as at various points I was behind @mrgrieves, @ljkobrien and @xodinsrevengex. Frustrating as my pace was clearly simiilar with the gap remaining consistently around 10 to 12 seconds.

On lap 7 I was all of a sudden ahead of @ms20 who I had to assume was 2 stopping and I briefly was quite excited thinking I was in a race with him for some lofty position.

He caught me up just as I was due to pit, which cost me time as he overtook me on the corner before the pits, and I had to slow down to cut into the pit lane.

Coming out of the pits I was down in 8th again, about 7 seconds behind odin, who I then had a nice time trial race with over the next 8 or 9 laps. I had got the gap down to 2.8 seconds with about 7 laps to go, and then odin must’ve made a mistake and I was up in to 7th place. Shame as I would have caught him and it would’ve been a nice battle I think.

Then all of a sudden I was up to 6th with @ljkobrien 17 seconds behind me, and with 6 laps to go my controller cut out and I lost 10 seconds, which with @jlkobrien on much fresher tyres than me made things interesting.

I just about got it to the end of the race with @ljkobrien behind me for a solid 6th place. A bit frustrating as pace was decent and I might have been able to get in amongst the battle with @mrgrieves and @maddogmolloy….

6th place though, my 2nd best result of the season, which I’m dead chuffed with. Roll on Germany next week.

Good fun on the sprint races too, gotta love a collision with @maddogmolloy!!

Videos from my last race at Silverstone. An interesting race full of close wheel to wheel action. Fought @ms20 for 3rd in the first stint, then @ljkobrien in the second stint but struggled to hold off @ms20 on option tyres and @mrgrieves in the final stint. Enjoy!

Is it your Router? For these races (mainly to minimise my chances of disconnecting halfway through a race), I connect an Ethernet cable from my router to my xbox. Bit more reliable especially if your Internet seems to work a bit better later but you want some added security :-)
