I can’t make monza I’m afraid due to art practice on the Tuesday although IIRC Singapore will be during my half tearm but that shall be my last race for about a month due to art GCSE which has been split up into 3 3 hour sessions and 1 1 hour session so sorry about that guys but the upshot is that the forums answer to Jean Dennis Deletraz won’t be on the grid to act as a mobile chicane ;)

Quiet happy with 4th as I was using a mostly new setup and wasn’t driving too well.
I broke too late on one of the early laps and too off Lemon so sorry about that.
Passed and repassed Jonny several times and almost got past on the last corner but went into the gravel.

Qualifying was alright, lost my team mate with connection issues but got 6th

Clambered through the troubles in turn 1 and was right with @LtAlfred till i span in Ascari and that left me in a battle with @Maddog, @Strunk and @Dazza till i eventually built a gap over them and had a lonly run to 6th

Qualified on pole, could have gone faster but I dipped a wheel into the gravel at the second lesmo, as the rear of the car pushed.

Got a good start, everyone seemed to be very cautious which was nice to see.
There wasn’t to much happening up to lap 7, from what I could figure, Lemon was caught up in battle for a while, I went off on that particular lap, once again, I was welcomed by the gravel trap at the second lesmo.
Lemon overtook me but spun going out of Parabolica, which meant I regained P1.

I was able to create a comfortable gap but I started feeling unconfortable with my tires, Lemon reduced the gap and eventually overtook me again.
He had some bad luck with the traffic and made a mistake again and I took P1, we both pitted on lap 24.
We both went into the first lesmo and @Lemon went through, then in second going into Parabolica, I was caught out by the heavy rain and parked it in the gravel for a while. Johnny – who I had a lead over by 14 Sec., passed me on the last meters, an overall enjoyable race which by being too eager at the end I guess – @Lemon was out of fuel, according to my race engineer, I threw away.

Haven`t done one of those yet but here goes… first off I`d like to talk about my first race in rainy hockenheim had a great battle with the two ferraris stunk and infernojim for half the race

As for monza well It could not have gone worse I thought about not doing a lap but decided to try and do a lap anyway but alas it was too late and I messed up trying to rush through the track as for the race I took advantage of the crash on the first corner and up to 7th after starting last was catching mcwoblin in the lotus while Johhny raced up behind us..but my aggressiveness cost me and I spun costing me a few places.

A few laps later I just spun out and lost 3 or 4 places due to my aggressive driving through the last corner..at which point I gave up tried to catch up to Mcwoblin but Overall a dreadful race for me I guess for me I`ll just practice the next few races and properly adjust and take my opportunity and hopefully try and get Mercedes into at least the top 3 in the constructors.

Not too bad of a race, I felt the top 5 would be a good battle following the qually pace.

After the first corne problems I was right up behind Mark and was feeling optimistic about getting past him, which I managed to do at the start of the second lap when he went into the back of Lemon, I was forced to cut the chicane and was behind Lemon.

Unfortuinatelty I repeatedly messed up the exit of the second chicane, throwing me into the air and into the gravel and during the course of the race I must have lost between 10 and 15 seconds there. After Mark got back past after my mistake, a couple of laps later the exact same thing happened with Jonny and I fell to 5th.

Whenever I had a clean lap I was able to maintain the gap to the fight for 3rd in front of me, but mistake were quite regular and I eventually fell back. I had a fight with y2j at around lap 10 until he span out. After that I had an uneventful race as I watched Mark and Johnny slowly pull away from me and the constantly changing 6th place behind me slowly fall away.

I should have a video up at some point, but according to youtube it still has 718 minutes left… which is an improvement over last night when it said it had another 1124 minutes to go

My race. I’d turn the volume down before watching, for some reason its very loud. Only the first 10 minutes are worth watching too, after that my race is fairly unspectacular, I would have cut it down but the editting software for the game capture i’m using it damn useless

I’ve updated the championship standings to include last week’s race result. Dropped scores have been taken into account. The link is below:

    http://f1fanatic.wikia.com/wiki/F1F_Xbox_360_World_Championship_-_Season_3

If there are any errors, let me know and I can amend :-)

@MadDogMolloy takes advantage of the drop score rule, as his previous race result was among one of his 4 lowest finishing positions.

Singapore tomorrow! – Our first ever night race! :-)

if you cant make it, let me know so a reserve driver can take your place.

I will actually be on time this week. Cheers for waiting last time. Did my practice for Monza unusually early (two hours before, not one lol), and then went on FIFA and lost complete track of time. I was in a slightly important game lol and would have preferred not to quit out, but should have had the decency to let you start qualifying, and I could have joined in at the back for the race.

But what a race it was. The similar conditions to the previous round at Spa caught no-one out as far as I’m aware; it seemed everyone knew that staying out on the options was the right call. The rain caused havoc though, and poor Kevin lost the lead so cruelly towards the end. Herbie claimed he may have taken Kevin out, but whilst he was debating whether to let him by on the final lap, along comes a slow Force India. I happily drive past, whilst holding off Mark after another epic battle, to snatch second.

I do love my street races. I’m known for choking under pressure, but also for consistency so tomorrow should be a good one.

    CHAMPIONSHIP SITUATION

According to my calculations (and bear in mind these are my calculations! They could be wrong!), @lemon can win the championship tonight IF @jonny705 finishes 9th or lower.

Ok, realistically @lemon has it in the bag already but I thought I would keep you updated on the actual mathematics.

However, if @jonny705 finishes – he has never been lower than 3rd so the chances of him finishing near the back are slim. The next race at Suzuka would appear the most likely destination for @lemon ‘s title celebrations!

The focus is more on the fight for 2nd. It looks to be a 3-way fight between @jonny705 @powderfinger (Omorfos Kevin) and @ms20 . @ljkobrien (Lt Alfred) is a little behind, but ready to pounce if any of the three have a bad result.

The battle for 6th between @MadDogMolloy and @mrgrieves (y2jisaok) looks equally tense. Both are closely matched in terms of results so I’m sure it will go to the wire! @strunk27 not out of contention either.

The big battle in the Constructors Championship is the fight for 3rd between Mercedes and Lotus. Now Mercedes have a solid permanent driver in @zsmokey they could build a good points scoring run!

It’s all to play for with 7 races to go! :-)

Posted a lap-time of 1:41.5 in qualifying which was 0.7s off @lemon time.

The race began well, it seemed like I could keep up with @lemon due to a lot of errors on his part. I eventually got passed on lap three as he spun at turn 2.
@ljkobrien was holding @lemon off me, during that period I should have built a gap instead I chose to save fuel but I was still able to slowly pull away.
On lap 7 @lemon pitted and I went in for a fresh set of tires a lap later, just to cover his strategy.
The predicted rain – by the way I agree, there have been to many wet races this season – did eventually fall on lap 14.
I managed to keep a consitent gap of 13 sec. to @lemon during the wet phase but as the track dried, I wasn’t sure when to switch to slicks because parts of the track were damp and I thought it may have been possible to gain time. It turned out to be a mistake and as I came out of the pits on slicks @lemon was following me closely.
We passed each other a few times until I pulled away on the last lap and unlike @lemon I didn’t have any fuel problems and ended up with a +5 in reserve.

Singapore is my least favourite track so I’m happy with 3rd.
Didn’t bother setting a time in qualifying because tyre wear was so high. Got up to 4th after the start and stayed out a few laps later than everyone else but then tried to stay out until the rain came but the tyres became too won to carry on a few laps before.
Pitted for inters a lap too late and then they were useless after a lap or two so pitted for wets and ended up 17s behind Alfred.
I went straight back on to options when the rain stopped ad had one shaky lap in the damp but stayed on and jumped in front of Alfred into 3rd.

I took a video (no sound) but the brightness is too high and the screen is quite small which I’ll try to improve for next week. Also the quality becomes terrible towards the end of the race but not much happened then anyway.

vids failed to upload, which is a shame because I had quite an eventful race.

Qually didn’t go well and I think I was lucky to get 5th.

I got a good start and was up to 2nd by lap 3. I knew from our prerace race that I wasn’t going to be able to keep up with @Powderfinger so instead focused on keeping @Lemon behind me for as long as possible so Kevin could get away. Around lap 10 I was struggling with my second set of tyres and Lemon past. I spent the next few laps trying to tiptoe around waiting for enough rain to fall for inters. By the time I pitted @ms20 had closed the gap down to around 10 seconds.

I was able to maintain a fiar gap between myself and Mark during the inter/wet period, but he managed to switch straight from wets to drys while I went from wets to inters to drys and unfortunately he past me with around a 10 second gap with 5 laps left.

I suddenly found some great pace in the last few laps on the options and was lapping around the same pace as Kevin and Lemon. I was taking time out of Mark at a fair pace and I was beginning to think with a bit of luck I might catch him with a lap or two left. Unfortunately I went too hard and my last two laps were off the pace due to tyre wear and I had to settle for 4th.
