    @lemon @infernojim @ljkobrien @kvothe @mrgrieves, @McWoblin, @powderfinger, @strunk27 @ms20 @Sparky2315 @jonny705 @dazzaarcher @cscottyf195 @dazza1782 @mat-k @i300rn-5urv1v0r @roblo97 @zsmokey

I’ve updated the championship standings to include last week’s race result. Dropped scores have been taken into account. The link is below:

    http://f1fanatic.wikia.com/wiki/F1F_Xbox_360_World_Championship_-_Season_3

If there are any errors, let me know and I can amend :-)

@mrgrieves takes advantage of the drop score rule.

Japan tomorrow – if you cant make it, let me know so a reserve driver can take your place.

    CHAMPIONSHIP SITUATION

@lemon looks likely to win the championship tomorrow. If..

    -he wins the race
    or
    - he comes 2nd, 3rd or 4th and @powderfinger (Omorfos Kevin) doesnt win

There are other permutations but Lemon hasn’t finished lower than 2nd this season……the basic thing to remember is that @powderfinger needs to outscore @lemon by 7 points to deny him the championship!

Qualified on primes in 6th with an ok lap.
The first lap of the race was very slow and I had very low grip. I had to take most corners 1 gear lower than usual which took a few laps to get used to and on a few laps I lost around 4 seconds with mistakes.
I managed to go 17 laps and pit for inters into 2nd place. The rest of the race was quite dull.

Qualifyed a season high 5th and the car felt brilliant on the softs.

Was in the 4 car battle for 3 the first few laps before pitting on lap 7 to do 2 stints on the softs before the rain BUT! in my excitement i put on the “Hard” prime tyres and that was big mistake no1 costing me about 1-2 seconds a lap for my 2nd stint. After hitting @LtAltred on turn 1 i found him behind me in my 2nd stint so let him through as i struggle on the hards and he pulled away by a few seconds during before the rain came. Stop for inters was fine was going well on them then everyone dived in for wets and i thought it was still easily Inters but 1 corner later i saw my mistake as i dropped back to finish in 5th or 6th? where i finished

I was happy with my qually pace and feel if I had another lap or two I could have been closer, if not ahead of Kevin.

I didn’t get the best start and ended up off the track at turn 1, I managed to avoid the gravel and rejoined near the back. The closeness of the pack and the fights going on throughout the field meant that I was able to quickly gain some places and by lap 5 I was back in 4th/5th. For half a lap or so there was a good fight between @mrgrieves @Powderfinger myself and @ms20 until mark fell off at the first corner and Kevin and I got tangled up on the exit of the final chicane.

By the time things calmed down I was fighting with y2j for 3rd and for a while we were closely matched for pace then mark past us both thanks to his prime tyres. After the rain started I lost y2j and found myself alone in 3rd with jonny catching quickly. The last 5 laps were intense, johnny was clearly faster than me but I really wanted a podium! I feel a little guilty now for not just letting him past as I had forgotten I had a penalty from earlier in the race and he could have caught mark in 2nd by the end. Sorry about that johnny.

Here’s the sprint races following the main race, unfortunately I forgot to start the recording for the main race, a shame as I had quite an eventful one

I don’t really know where my mid-season form has gone. Back in Aus/Mal, I was able to match Herbie if not slightly beat his times. I’m being demolished now.

I was amazed to even make the front row in quali, and even more so to get a brilliant start. I could have taken Lemon for first, but with a championship at stake I let him go. It seemed to be the right call as any pace I had demonstrated in qualifying had gone.

Battled with the impressive y2j and Kevin for second, but kept messing up and was at times down in seventh after three stops in six laps. The one time when starting on the primes would actually work, and I didn’t do it.

Gradually clawed my way back up, but couldn’t pass Alfred. I wouldn’t worry about not letting me past mate; for all you know I could have had a penalty too. And I was too slow to catch second anyway.

Been forcing myself on F1 lately rather than wanting to go on it. Need to get on Korea earlier to help with the motivation.

And it needs to stop raining.

Congratulations to @Lemon, well deserved. ;)

    I finished a wonderful 9th. :D

In total I made 4 pit stops. I spent a whole lap (pitted on lap 14) on the inters whilst it wasn’t raining, which left me with a gap of 32 sec. to P8. Then I switched back to options by then the rain had actually worsened, I pitted again for inters, 2 laps later I went for wets although the track was too dry. LOL

Considering I was in second and had I not thrown it away on lap 2 going where I carried a little to much speed into turn 1, I may have been able to keep up with Lemon but then I got stuck in traffic.
Apologies and thanks to @ljkobrien who was behind me as I spun but saved me from doing a 360. :D

On the last lap I had some vibrations on one side of the car, I think I had passed zSmokey at that stage but that was a bit of an irritation, I don’t know what it was I had a similar problem on lap 5 when exiting the hairpin, it was as if I were running on the dirty side of the track, which I wasn’t, weird.

It is a great honour to have won the coveted f1f xbox 360 championship.. there are many thousands out there who would had given everything for a sniff of the acclaim attributed to a champion. So to explain how it feels to have won three times, in a manner that justifies the galactic distinguish, is beyonds the realms of even the most extensive vocabulary.

But in all seriousness @MadDogMolloy does a great job of running this show, so he deserves the recognition for the championship :P

And of course The championship would be nothing without a line up of some of the best drivers in the world!

That’s the speech Lemon has had time to prepare when waiting around each race for the rest of us to finish

  • Profile picture of Lemon Lemon said 3 months ago:

    @Lt-Alred
hhahaha I would of liked to make the speech longer, maybe next championship ill try to get further ahead before the end….lol :p

Next season your speech will have to be how all good runs have to come to an end because you’ve had your F1FXC throne usurped from under you!
