Frustrating race for me, and pretty much summed up my season.
I don’t have the time to practice like I used to, and unlike on F1 2011 where my natural pace was enough even when I hadn’t practiced much, F1 2012 has never come as naturally to me, and that combined with much more competition means that I need at least 4 to 6 hours of intense practice to get me in amongst the mid-field battle (like I was at Abu Dhabi and a couple of other races earlier in the season).
So now my season is one of loneliness. Qualifying above Strongo / Chain and maybe one other who’s had even less practice than me, and then slowly dropping off the back of the “mid-field struggle”, whilst massively pulling away from Strongo / Chain… Yesterday is a fine case in point, finished 40 seconds behind @mrgrieves and minute ahead of Chain…
Guess the answer is more practice, but at the moment having to rely on disconnects to just get a point isn’t much fun.
Fingers crossed the handling tweaks on F1 2013 bring it back towards me and I can get back on the wheel and move back up the pack.
