    @mcwoblin yeah that’s right! I hope you see what I was trying to do.. It’s a stat that I hope will highlight which team is doing well whilst taking into account the fact that a team can’t always have 2 drivers.

    It’s interesting because it shows how well Lt Alfred has done for Force India. if he had a team mate with similar consistency for the majority of the season Force India would be top.

    @mrgrieves, @McWoblin, @carnivorouspope, @powderfinger, @lemon, @mnmracer, @strunk27 @arowan @vettelS @infernojim @ljkobrien

    It was close but driver of the Belgian GP goes to Lemon! He wins by one vote from Omorfos Kevin.

    Now three races to go! Let me know if you can’t make Monza later today!

    Its the business end to the season! It seems the title fight is between Omorfos Kevin and Lemon. Just 8 points separate them. Fantastic in Qualifying, Could Lemon’s penalty at Silverstone, His retirement at Budapest and his last lap spin in Turkey cost him? O Kevin dominated in Australia and capitalised on the misfortune of others to grab 25 points in both Turkey and Silverstone. 3 race wins each, it’s all to play for!

    Both still with a small chance of sneaking up on the title challengers, McWoblin and Lt Alfred are seperated by 5 points. Famously easy on his tyres, McWoblin looked like being O Kevins nearest challenger after the first two races with two 2nd places. He dropped away mid season but has returned to the podium in the last couple of races. The Williams driver is a clean and fair racer who is always fantastic to watch. Lt Alfred is a potential star for the future! He Impressed by appearing on the podium at his first ever GP at the driver dependent Monaco. He has since appeared on the podium at every race apart from Spa. You just wonder where he would have been if he started in Australia! Only driver outside the top 2, to win a race this season.

    There’s a huge gap before we find MadDogMolloy and strunk27. MadDog’s season can only be summed up by lacking a combination of 2 things. Luck and experience. Unlucky with first lap spins in Australia and Monaco. Made bad decisions (whilst in a podium position) when it came down to changes in the weather in both Canada and Hungary. Inexperience propped up again by staying out on wore out tyres in Belgium. A podium at Silverstone being a highlight. Strunk27 flies the flag for USA in 6th place although only 5 points behind MadDog. 2 fantastic podiums in the wet at Canada and Hungary prove he is consistent in changeable conditions. Famously hard to pass, you can be sure he wiill be in the fight for the podium at the remaining races.

    Mighty Dekunut and y2jisaok will fight over 7th and one good result would put them in the fight for 5th place too. Holland’s finest driver since Robert Droornbos had his best race in Australia. Often seen amongst a first lap incident, he showed flashes of brilliance on the softer tyres at the end of the Belgian Gp – his pace was similar to the guys at the front. Y2J was just a whisker off the podium in the first part of the season but has had a lot of bad luck in the last 3 races. If he can avoid the midfield madness, he can produce the goods!

    Near to the back of the grid it looks like Infernojim and carnivorous are battling over the wooden spoon. both are keen to prove themselves!

    In the teams championship, Ferrari and Renault are fighting over the championship. With Lemon and O kevin closely matched, much will depend on Carnivorous and Mighty Dekunut to pick up the important points! The fight for 3rd looks intense between Williams, Force India and McLaren.

    So… exciting times ahead…. 3 classic tracks in Monza, Suzuka and Interlagos.. all very different circuits….

    Its taken a long time, but here is my video of the British GP. I will be uploading Hungary and Belgium at some point in the week if I can. In the meantime, enjoy! My fight here is with Mcwoblin for 4th… which eventually turns to 3rd!

    See you on the circuit!

    @Kyle
    good little build up to the end of the season :P

    Qualifying was good, first lap I put in a cut a corner which invalidated my first attempt, only got one other run apart from that which gave me a time in the high 1.18s, which was better than any of my practices and put me 0.1 sec off pole and I still only got 3rd!

    Today’s race was one of the most fun so far. The start was insane, with about 5 cars all scrapping for the lead over the first chicane and following straight. I was forced to follow @lemon and cut the chicane because of a lot of cars all vying for position and that put me, kyle and lemon all side on running for 2nd. Managed to get in front of the rest of the pack with the use of rich fuel mix and kers and had a great fight with @McWoblin for a few laps before we got a little too close going into the second chicane and he span out after we touched. Sorry about that mate, not sure what happened but there was no intent. Had a little bit of free space before @PowderFinger caught me but managed to keep my lead.

    I stopped around lap 6 before anyone else and came out in a large gap. Kevin stopped the lap after me and must have had a great in lap because he came out just in front of me. As I think most people witnessed, the chicane at the bottom of the pit straight can be difficult when coming out of the pits and I was able to get a better exit to get back past Kevin to retake the lead. After that the two of us fought over position until the next stop.

    Almost carbon copy of what happened in the first stop for the second. Came in a lap before Kevin and found his Ferrari in front of me again at the end of my out lap, and got back past him on the exit of the chicane again.

    After that I thought it would be a straight fight between me and Kevin for the win over the next 6 laps or so, but @lemon was showing some of his trademark tyre management and was still nursing primes from his first stop in first place. We caught him fairly quickly and I was able to pass him using DRS but Kevin seemed to have a bit of trouble getting past, gave me some time to play with and I managed to stay ahead for the last few laps to take my second win of the season!

    Video of the race to come later, probably tomorrow after uni. I’d recommend watching the start, brilliant scrap.

    Well, the best i managed in qualifying was a disappointing 4th. I think my gear ratios where to high.

    I had expected a bit more chaos a turn 1, but overall it was quite a clean start although I received a penalty for bumping into McWoblin, I think it was.

    Well, pretty uneventful race except for the battles with Lt. Alfred.

    @mcwoblin not sure if you’ve given O Kevin too many points?

    Also Strunk27 came 6th not 5th in the end. My fault – changed my original post. Did it from memory and forgot he gained a time penalty.

    Not sure if you need to adjust the teams standings to compensate..

    @Kyle, I was just wondering, if you compete in all 10 races do you still have your lowest finish dropped? The reason I ask is because without a dropped score I’m 7 points behind you and with one of the 7th places dropped I’m only 3 points behind. I was just wondering how that worked so I have something to aim for in the last two races ;)

    First part of my race yesterday, rest can be found here http://www.youtube.com/user/oboeify?feature=mhee

    Looking at the points I think kyle’s right McWoblin, the difference between the top two should only be 2 or 3 points now

  • Profile picture of MadDogMolloy MadDogMolloy said 1 year ago:

    @strunk27 one of my 7th place finishes are dropped so I lose 6 points. None of your results are dropped. The reason for the dropped score was so if someone couldn’t attend a race it would not affect them

  • Profile picture of MadDogMolloy MadDogMolloy said 1 year ago:

    @strunk27 I see your point.
    @mcwoblin you’ve given me too many points. I should have 61 points and Strunk should have 58

    driver of the day: @lemon ridiculous tyre management, even by his usual standards, that got him a 2nd place
