My Race was pretty disappointing, was really pleased to get pole, but it was all downhill from there. Got a good start, made the chicane! ;), and had a good scrap with lt. Then made a mistake and spent the race trying to make up for it, got a ridiculous penalty for cutting ascari then just become demoralised. 4th place could have been 2nd I think, but great driving from lt. 8 point gap now so should be an interesting couple of races. DoD -Lt. See you all in Japan tomorrow!!

So I suppose that means Driver of the day goes to Lt Alfred!

Next stop : Round 9 – Japan

The championship battle is soo close. I’ve done some calculations and this is what i’ve come up with…

Omorfos Kevin wins the championship if he finishes 1st and lemon finishes 8th or lower.
The good news? Omorfos Kevin’s lowest finish this season is 5th. This is his dropped score. If he finishes lower than 5th, then his race result will become his dropped score. This means that he is guaranteed 10 points at this race.

Herbert Lemon stays in the championship battle if he finishes 7th or higher
His dropped score is his DNF at Hungary so he doesnt have a banked number of points like Omorfos Kevin.

Lt. Alfred stays in the championship battle if he finishes ahead of Omorfos Kevin and if:
- He finishes 1st
- He finishes 2nd and Lemon finishes 3rd or lower
- He finishes 3rd and Lemon finishes 2nd or lower
- He finishes 4th and Lemon finishes 3rd or lower
If Omorfos Kevin or Herbert Lemon wins, Lt.Alfred is out of the championship. He began the season at round 3 so he does not have a dropped score.

McWoblin stays in the championship battle if he finishes 1st and Omorfos Kevin finishes 3rd or lower.

Seems the stats are against Lt Alfred and McWoblin staying in this fight. The only drivers that have won races this season other than Lt.Alfred are the top 2…. and if one of those wins… its game over. McWoblin hasn’t won a race yet so it seems unlikely but… anything is possible I suppose..

Ok So if you could all let us know on here if you are going to absent that would be great!

I’m sorry guys, I’m gonna have to drop out. My personal life is in too much of a mess to give this the proper time it deserves. Maybe (if ok) I’ll drive another race later on, but I’m not contending for the championship anymore.

Really good race tonight.

A bit miffed to only qualify 6th and made a huge error in trying to do 2 flying laps at the end, as we seen later.

Race start was perfect was right on the pace for the first 2 laps then the pace up front got to much and that left me and McWobblin in a great battle till he made his 1st stop. After that we seen the extra lap in qualifying cost me big time as my tyres totally died two laps early and i lost 10 seconds on my in lap.

Second stint because of my mistakes left me last but now on the option tyres i was clawing back time hadn over fist then when the final round of stops i was in no mans land but again on the last lap my tyres died and McWobblin closed in the 12 second gap in a lap so i went all out into the chicane to hold me position but the tyres didnt give me anything and i took us both off the track so waited for McWobblin to get back on the track then trundled over for a very dissapointing 6th

I accidentally deleted Part Three which was the best part of the race.

I can’t believe I spun twice at R130, that has never happend to me before.

Was surprised I managed to get pole, I didn’t think the time was good enough and then didn’t leave myself enough time at the end of qually to put another time in.

Had a good start although I could tell immediately that the setup wasn’t quite right, had more understeer than I usually get around her, especially through sector 1.

I was able to stay infront of @Powerfinger and @lemon for most of the first sint, although Kevin managed to get past towards the end as my tyres faded, but I was able to get back ahead through the final two corner and me, @Powderfinder and @lemon went into the pits right behind one another. Terrible stop and by the time I came out of my box both the Ferrari and Renault had got in front.

Next 10 laps were quite eventful, good fight between the top 3 before I managed to get in front and stay there. After that I was kept honest by lemon but was able to hold on to P1 until the end of the race.

Like @mrgrieves said I think I may have left it too late to take the championship but Sao Paulo should be a lot of fun anyway!

Video to come. Driver of the day between @lemon and @Powderfinger, think I’ll go with @lemon, although both gave me a good race pretty much from start to finish

I had a fairly average race, a big accident coming out of spoon meant I was out out contention for my usual average 4th place slot, pretty uneventful race until I caught up with y2 right at the end, thanks for letting me back on first when you overshot the corner, a true gent!

I’d strongly recommend at least watching up to a couple of laps after the first pit stop, brilliant fight between the top three and you get to here me yelling at my pit crew!

Right Guys… The Championship Showdown!

I’ll try to simplify the maths…

O Kevin needs to finish ahead of Lemon to win.
(O Kevin is guaranteed at least 10 points due to his dropped score)

Lemon needs to finish ahead of O Kevin but 3rd or higher.

Lt Alfred needs to win and hope Lemon is 4th or lower and O Kevin is 5th or lower.
