Johnny Kingshark becomes the second victim of a faulty alternator, whilst the sister team, Toro Rosso, both retire as they collide at the end of the straight in sector 1. I don’t think the boss will be too happy with them after that.
Bradley Downton takes his second victory of the season, as Mathershaw follows home 41 seconds behind, that’s the biggest gap all season, just holding off the McLaren of Ingram, who was able to pass Bomeny in the closing laps. Alfie Widger finally finishes a GP, managing to pull his way up to 5th place, which is impressive given his poor qualifying.
Nic Morley is able to finish in 6th, with both Mercedes finishing in the points as well, so they both pull a little further ahead of Caterham.
Jamie Franklin creeps up into the points, with an 8th place finish. He won’t be too happy with that, but it’s great for the Championship.
