Ingram tops FP1 as leader Franklin struggles
William Ingram topped the first practice session for the Indian Grand Prix ahead of Red Bull’s Hollis Graham while Championship leader Jamie Franklin struggled to 18th place. The Lotus man couldn’t get the car hooked up and suffered from a series of problems, including gearbox and KERS failure and culminating in an Engine Failure 15 minutes from the end of the session.
His teammate Downton fared better, putting his Lotus third as he looks for back-to-back wins in an attempt to overhaul Franklin in the Championship fight. Widger made it two McLaren’n in the top 5 while Butler’s Mercedes and d’Hazorme’s Caterham rounded out the top 6.

@andae23 I’ve been unbelievably slow in practice lately. What have you been doing to my car?

@brazil2007 I think I should come clean with this: I secretly swapped your car with a Toyota Prius :P
    Surprised you haven’t noticed that!

@brazil2007: P13 in a Caterham unbelievably slow? That is an insult to us HRT and Marussia drivers! ;)

Ingram Remains on top in FP2
William Ingram took the top spot again in second practice as McLaren proved Downton’s task of back-to-back wins would be harder than first though. Widger backed up his teammate in second with Downton again in third for Lotus. Sunderland put his Caterham fourth ahead of Graham’s Red Bull and the Williams of Nic Morley. Franklin improved on his FP1 position by going 8th quickest but was still disappointed to be half a second behind his teammate.

That could have been better, too bad. @brazil2007 You ever considered switching to touring cars? You are incredibly quick in that daft little Prius :)
