    Out in Q1
    18. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)
    19. Nykänen (Williams)
    20. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    21. Frog (Marussia)
    22. Hofman (HRT)
    23. Kirkham (HRT)
    24. Peacock (Marussia)

Marussia and HRT once again fail to make it through Q1 with Toro Rosso struggling as well, both falling. Nykänen’s dry pace failed him again, as he split the two Toro Rosso’s in 19th. Downton topped the session for Lotus from the two McLaren’s while Sunderland shocked for Caterham in sixth place.

Awesome! I fear that my quali pace won’t show in the race, it being wet and all…

I’ve noticed that @tmekt has seemed to be getting much less out of his car ever since he revealed his true name.

    @brazil2007

There hasn’t been enough wet sessions

Why is it wet race when we are so fast in the dry? :P

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 3 months, 3 weeks ago:

Can’t say that it’s being rigged to be wet, since the Lotuses are slow in rain.

    Out in Q2
    11. Chan (Sauber)
    12. Morley (Williams)
    13. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    14. Sunderland (Caterham)
    15. Robson (Mercedes)
    16. d’Hazorme (Caterham)
    17. Haddleton (Force India)

Sunderland couldn’t replicate his Q1 performance, managing a slower time in Q2 and ultimately failing to make the final part of Qualifying in 14th. d’Hazorme didn’t manage any better, falling out in 16th. Robson split them in the Mercedes with Haddleton 17th. Bomeny was a casualty for Ferrari with Morley 12th and Chan just missing out on Q3 thanks to Butler.

With Hofman’s win I do believe No. 3 is still in the championship.

    Stuck in Karthikeyan mode :(

@brazil2007 Dude, you outpaced 8 guys or so in a bloody Prius! O_O

@andae23 Meh, I’d prefer a SAAB myself. I’d be on pole if I had one!

@brazil2007 A Saab? Well, at least reliability should be better than @alfie‘s. ;)

    Q3 Results
    1. Ingram (McLaren)
    2. Graham (Red Bull)
    3. Widger (McLaren)
    4. Downton (Lotus)
    5. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    6. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    7. Franklin (Lotus)
    8. Varga (Sauber)
    9. Butler (Mercedes)
    10. Armos (Force India)

Bradley Downton looked all set to storm to his second consecutive pole position in India but his fastest lap was only good enough for fourth, with three people able to best his time. It was Ingram who took pole position from Red Bull’s Hollis Graham with Widger making it two McLaren’s in the top 3. Mathershaw managed 5th for Ferrari wth Championship leader Franklin 7th.
