Looks like your race pace let you down in the end @Brazil2007, but still, a podium is great. I certainly wouldn’t say no to one right about now xD

    @bradley13 I wouldn’t mind a Lotus drive next season :P

I wouldnt mind any other drive next season! :P Force India has easily been one of the low end runners most of the season with my 4th place a very rare blip I think. Still, wasnt expecting to get trounced by Caterham this season! Seems like we are becoming the forgotten men of the season. A bit like Bahrain GP TV coverage…

“The car has been awful. I have had no grip all season. The team arent giving me a very good car at all and arent seemingly working on it #PaulDiRestaTweet” :P

Morley pins hope on strong results

Nic Morley is hoping that his strong results will lead him onto a front running team next season. The Williams driver has has a successful season, scoring in a majority of races. The only Australian driver’s most notable performance was at the Mexican Grand Prix; in which he dominated the race from pole.

“Right now I’m focusing on the end of the season, and to try hold off Mercedes. I’m happy with how the season has gone; however it only means the expectation sill rise next season. To achieve that Williams need to improve or I need to find a seat in a front running team”, explained Morley.

    American Grand Prix Preview
The Asian leg of the tour is finished and now we head west (although we’d flown east because it’s probably quicker) to the final two races, hosting in the America’s. The first race will be in North America, (Texas, Austin) to be be precise, while the final race of the season see’s us head South to Brazil. Upon arriving in America, six drivers still have a shot at the title, and less than a win separates them all.

Jamie Franklin (Lotus) – 190 Points – Despite a retirement in Abu Dhabi after a collision with his teammate he still leads the Championship by two points from that very same man. Franklin is the only man who can win the title here, but has to win the race and rely on others misfortune to claim it.

    To win the title:
Franklin must win the race with:
    Downton 9th or lower
    Ingram 8th or lower
    Kingshark 6th or lower
    Graham 4th or lower
    Bomeny 2nd or lower

Bradley Downton (Lotus) – 188 Points – Had a disastrous weekend in Abu Dhabi that culminated in colliding with his teammate and launching over the back of a Marussia. He’s been cleared to race in America this weekend however and will be hoping for a return to the podium to take the fight to Brazil.

William Ingram (McLaren) – 185 Points – A fairly disappointing result in Abu Dhabi with only 8th place but he still closed on the Lotuses in front due to the double retirement. Felt he could have gained more ground if not for the pitstop error, Ingram will be hoping for a stronger showing in America.

Johnny Kingshark (Red Bull) – 182 Points – Another man disappointed with his result in Abu Dhabi as he felt he could have at very least claimed a podium. Beaten to it by Caterham’s Nicholas Sunderland didn’t lift his spirits, though he was at least thankful there was a Canadian flag on the podium.

Hollis Graham (Red Bull) – 175 Points – Graham impressed in Abu Dhabi but missed out on pole to Sunderland’s Caterham. Made up for it in the race though after taking the lead at the start and never looking back. Still an outside bet for the title but has a run of two wins under his belt…

Felipe Bomeny (Ferrari) – 170 Points – Ferrari’s only remaining chance for the title after Mathershaw’s early exit in Abu Dhabi, Felipe is the furthest behind of the men who can still claim it. He’s not had strong recent results but a second last time out really threw the cat amongst the pigeons.

With dry weather expected in America we could see some more strong performances from Widger, Caterham and Sauber, so once again the Championship contenders won’t have it all their own way. With Mathershaw also now out of the fight, surely he’ll do his best to help Bomeny to the title?

Only one thing is for sure though, we’re in for a cracker!

I think I’ve been VERY lucky (or unlucky) to keep my lead after three poor results, so hopefully I can end the season on a high, and at least take a victory in the US, as I think Interlagos will be very tough. All kind of depends on whether I can stay near the top in BOTH practice sessions…

    FP1 Results
Here we go guys, into the final two races…
William Ingram topped the first session, closely followed by title rival, Jamie Franklin. The two fought for the top spot constantly as the session progressed, each time knocking each other off of the perch, before the McLaren finally produced a time that Lotus couldn’t quite beat.
Alfie Widger claimed third place, suggesting that he could be a thorn in the side of the other title contenders, possibly giving Ingram a good chance at out-scoring the opposition.
Felipe Bomeny was the next Championship contender in the order, but only in 5th, whilst Graham, Downton and Kingshark finished down the order in 7th, 10th and 11th respectively.
Bradley Downton and Johnny Kingshark were reportedly extremely dissatisfied with the results, though Hollis Graham remained quietly confident that there could be more pace to come for the Bulls.

Sigh. Dismal Red Bull development as usual. It’s been the main theme song this season.

The Caterham team did very well, claiming 4th and 5th, but not quite as well as the Saubers who not only topped the session, but also finished in 3rd.
