Franklin ready to take Downton, as he shoots up the inside of turn 1! Downton turns in, not seeing him there clearly, and pushes Franklin into a spin. The team don’t look too impressed with that, especially as it has let Kingshark through into 8th position.
Despite all that though, the real news is that Alfie Widger has won the race! His car has held up nicely for once, leading to his second victory. Mathershaw was able to claim second back from the Sauber of Varga.
The Championship has definitely closed up for the final race, and thankfully for McLaren, William Ingram still has a shot, with none of his rivals scoring highly.

The top six are now within 12 points of each other, with Bradley in the lead.

Bradley Downton – 194
Jamie Franklin – 192
Johnny Kingshark – 188
William Ingram – 185
Hollis Graham – 183
Felipe Bomeny – 182

Myself and Bradley are the only of the top six to not have Interlagos as a favourite track, which leads me to believe that it will not be a Lotus driver that will win this Championship.
Also, it is now between Red Bull and Lotus for the Constructors.

@matthijs – You’ve had Malaysia, Canada and Holland as favourite tracks… so you’ve used your three. There was some confusion regarding this towards the start of the season but checking the records, I’m afraid you have used all three :/

Really? We had this conversation back in Holland, but I remembered that I asked you to save my last favourite track for Suzuka. Nver mind, in my HRT I would not have stood a chance in Suzuka.

If @Matthijs does indeed take the McLaren for the final race, then that is 5 drivers in top cars, 4 of which are in the title hunt, which have Brazil as their favourite track, as I mentioned before. This, plus the fact that if any one of the four (Besides Lotus) are to win the race, without either myself or Bradley on the podium, then they would win the title as 3rd to 6th are separated by 6 points.
