Nykänen Quickest as Rain Strikes FP1
Rain interrupted the first practice session for the Championship deciding race, and unsurprisingly it was wet weather expert Juho Nykänen who came out on top. Tom Robson was an excellent second fastest for Mercedes while Downton gave his Championship hopes a huge boost by going third quickest. Ingram, Bomeny, Graham and Franklin were 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th respectively while Kingshark struggled down 15th. Ironically Widger, who has swapped with Hofman courtesy of a deal that… yeah you all know, managed 11th fastest in the HRT, while Hofman could only go 14th for McLaren.

Wish the new car was here and not in Jerez – it looks good and it’s gotta be quicker than this old bus. But the new Caterham’s definitely the car for me – that even looks like a frog.

Follow the example of @Brazil2007 and tell us who you’re all cheering for :D (This post feels like I’m tweeting…half-tempted to put a hashtag in right here, but feel it would be a foolish and idiotic thing to do :P)

Ingram Top in Dry FP2 as Lotus Struggle
William Ingram, one of the contenders for the title here in Brazil, has topped a very dry and sunny second practice session this afternoon ahead of teammate Matthijs Hofman. Ingram was four tenths quicker than the Dutchman who was in turn two tenths quicker than third placed Bomeny’s Ferrari. Kingshark recovered from a poor first session to claim fourth while Caterham’s Andae d’Hazorme rounded out the top five. It was bad news for Lotus however as the British duo struggled for any sort of pace. Championship Leader Downton was only eighteenth quickest while teammate Franklin was slightly higher placed in fourteenth. This sets us up for a fantastic Qualifying session. The sixth Championship contender, Hollis Graham, was ninth.
