    Race Update 3
    1. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    2. Robson (Mercedes)
    3. Hofman (McLaren)
    4. Graham (Red Bull)
    5. Nykänen (Williams)
    6. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    7. Franklin (Lotus)
    8. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    9. Morley (Williams)
    10. Haddleton (Force India)
    11. Butler (Mercedes)
    12. Chan (Sauber)
    13. Downton (Lotus)
    14. Varga (Sauber)
    15. d’Hazorme (Caterham)
    16. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    17. Widger (HRT)
    18. Sunderland (Caterham)
    19. Peacock (Marussia)
    20. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)
    21. Frog (Marussia)
    Ret. Kirkham (HRT)

Lap 37 – Graham tries to pass Hofman for lead into turn 1, but they’ve both gone wide! Did they touch? Kingshark though into le- no, he’s gone wide as well! Is there oil on the track? Bomeny keeps it on line, as does Robson, and they are now 1st and 2nd.

Lap 38 – There was indeed oil down, and we can now see the culprit. Kirkham’s Cosworth engine has expired and dropped oil round the first half of the circuit, thankfully she pulled off at turn 4.

Lap 42 -A small error from Kingshark into the Senna esses allows Nykänen to close, he was in the DRS zone as well, and easily through into fifth.

Lap 48 – It’s gone unnoticed up here, but Downton is up to 13th, still has a lot of work to do, but he’s just set the fastest lap…

    Championship As It Stands:
    1. Bomeny (Ferrari) – 207
    2. Franklin (Lotus) – 198
    3. Graham (Red Bull) – 195
    4. Downton (Lotus) – 194 (2 wins)
    5. Kingshark (Red Bull) – 194 (1 win)
    6. Ingram (McLaren) – 185

Fantastic! Thanks for the support from the Ferrari family and the tifosi! Looking forward to winning the championship ;)
Actually, it’s quite fitting I’m in first since today in orchestra we rehearsed Los Toreadors from Bizet’s “Carmen”- otherwise known the podium music c:

Lap 53 – Oh, a heavy accident there around the final corner for Chan in the Sauber, looks like some kind of failure. That’s a safety car. Cucamest has picked up a puncture in the Toro Rosso.

Lap 55 – The damage to Cucamest’s Toro Rosso is clearly worse than originally feared, they’ve pulled him into the pits and that’s a retirement.

Lap 65 – The race restarts and Hofman jumps Robson who appears to have been asleep. The McLaren is into second.

Lap 66 – Mathershaw past Franklin’s Lotus. It really has all fallen away from Lotus, Franklin doesn’t even have the pace to catch up. Haddleton pulls the same move on Morley at the same corner, good place to be sat today at turn 1.

Lap 68 – Downton can make no headway at all on Shane Butler’s Mercedes and his title hopes have all but gone now..

Lap 71 – But now, the moment you have all been waiting for. We’ve been through 20 races, we’ve had a lot of drama, but at the end of the day, only 1 man would win. He had the lowest chance as we made our way here but as others struggled he kept his head. Felipe Bomeny, across the line, wins the Brazilian Grand Prix, and the Opening Season of the Random Forum Championship Game! Congratulations @Portugoose!

Considering the rules and the results of Q3 this really wasn’t a far-fetched possibility at all. Congratulations to @portugoose.

Does this mean I can now apply for a seat?
