@portugoose if you think bridgestones then we will use them :-)

@mathers I chose Bridgestone tires because of the frequency of wet sessions last season, but we can opt for Pirellis if you’d prefer- after all, you chose all of the correct updates last season :)

    @bullfrog: I’m happy with Pirellis!

I will most definitely take 13th place in the first test! For a new team that is pretty awesome, and good to get one over on my old team too in their reincarnated state

@Bradley13 Could I change my favourites to: Abu Dhabi, india, monza, Austin?

    Alright, I’ll take this set-up.

    Dry: 8
    Wet: 8
    Reliability: 7
    Qualifying pace: 6
    Race pace: 6
    Tracks: Monte-Carlo, Interlagos, Spa, Suzuka

@Matthijs Are you sure we want to take Goodyears? Thats a huge risk seeing as thats the rarest form of weather :/ I’d rather take Pirellis.

Also, are we having another test? Would love to see seeing as I missed the first one.

@polishboy808 I feel that in normal situations we will not fight for (a lot of) points, so therefore my rather extreme choice. But let’s go for Pirelli’s instead! Welcome new teamie!

@bradley13 Is the Infiniti really that slow? I thought they bought Toro Rosso, so that they would be more competitive.

@matthijs – Testing times were more randomised than the Races will be, don’t worry about them too much, for example, there is VERY little chance any of the three new teams being off the back three rows of the grid in dry conditions :)
@polishboy808 – We are indeed having another test. They’ll be 1 more wet test at Jerez, and then a Dry test at Barcelona.
@polishboy808 (again) – There is as much chance there being light rain as there is heavy rain by the way :), so Bridgestone (Heavy rain) and Goodyear (light rain) are kind of equal.
@carnivorouspope – absolutely, I have noted them down, I don’t mind people changing, as long as they let me know :P haha

Waiting on @RoboCAT, @kevincucamest & @tayzz94 to give their stats and tyre choices :)

Myself and @bag0 will choose Firestone tyres for Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes.

Also I’m surprised to get my first choice, but also very happy. Mclaren is a great team and I look forward to achieving greatness with my teammate this season.

    Dry: 11
    Wet: 2
    Reliability: 4
    Qualifying pace: 8
    Race pace: 10
Tracks: Australia, Monaco, Mexico!!, Abu Dhabi

@RoboCAT – I don’t normally get involved, but here I will, are you sure you want Reliability at 4?! That’s very low… Especially with McLaren’s known poor reliability…

@portugoose I see where you are coming from with the Bridgestones, and if we chose the Pirellis, we would only be on a par with the other Pirelli and Firestone teams. This would mean we may have a good advantage in the wet – but don’t forget that wet weather is random, and we may be very lucky or very unlucky. I think the best way to look at it is to say that with Pirelli we will be on par with the majority in terms of tyres in the dry, and also the same as the rest in the wet, while the Bridgestones would mean we may be slightly behind in the dry, but it would hopefully mean we are quite a bit faster than them in the dry. Based on that, I’m willing to take the risk for Bridgestones, and of course hopefully they are a durable as they were in 2010 :)

    Okay I have edited mine:

    Dry: 10
    Wet: 2
    Reliability: 7
    Qualifying pace: 6
    Race pace: 10

@bradley13 when does this season start?

  • Profile picture of Polishboy808 Polishboy808 said 3 months, 1 week ago:

@matthijs you know I thought about the Goodyears, and what you said makes sense, we should keep them. Let’s hope it doesn’t bring too big a disadvantage in the dry! And thanks, glad to be racin with ya!

@Bradley13 So for clarification Infiniti will be using Goodyear this season. Sorry for the confusion.
