@portugoose That is a good start for us, hopefully we can get some luck with the weather, and combined with this pace in the dry, we should be great :-)

And I will say now I am the number 2 driver at the moment, but I am not afraid to try and beat you – but at the same time I hope I can help you when you are ahead :-)

FP2 – Aussie on top in Australia
Nic Morley set the fastest lap today, putting his new McLaren on top ahead of his previous team – Williams. Sauber continued their excellent pace, with third and fourth, whilst Franklin’s Lotus claimed 5th. Nyanken couldn’t quite get the same out of his car, finishing down in 17th.
Mercedes looked a lot better in the second session, both managing the top 10, which definitely would have pleased Sunderland after he finished behind his former team in FP1.
Varga and Ingram couldn’t match their times in FP1, leading many to believe that they were trying new setups and strategies, though it clearly didn’t work.
The most notable of facts seems to be that teams with Firestone are fairing slightly better than those with any other tyre manufacturer.

German efficiency – nowhere in testing, ahead of Bakhtiari when it matters.

Had Top Gear on my pit monitor all through practice (only geeky drivers like Lewis look at telemetry) – must’ve been inspired by Amy Macdonald or something.

not sure if @JamieFranklinF1 is receiving me on Facebook so I’ll post this one just in case:

Shock as Red Bull fall in Q2
Nic Morley continued as the fastets man in Q2 but the biggest shock came in the midfield, as Red Bull Racing lost both of their cars, with Graham and Robson falling in 14th and 15th respectively. Nykänen was also a shock faller for Lotus in 16th place, as well as Mathershaw in 13th. Caterham were disappointed not to make the top 10 but managed 11th and 12th.
