FP2 Results – Downton shocks the world as top teams faulter
Bradley Downton shocked the world of F1 this afternoon, topping the session, as the other Lotus driver took second place, our resident wet weather master, Juho Nykänen. Downton commented that they had spent a lot of the winter focusing mainly on wet weather, both himself and giving the team knowledge of how wet weather effects the car so as to give the team the best chance at securing points on the more chaotic weekends, but even he hadn’t expected this.
Bomeny turned around his fortunes from this morning by going fourth, whilst the Red Bulls, McLarens and Franklin’s Lotus slipped out of the top 10.
Alfie Widger improved on his good form this morning, by going from 13th up to 10th. Infiniti also impressed, by getting into the top 10.
However, at the other end of the field, our session topper this morning ended the session last, after a gearbox problem left him sidelined for the entire session.
