The Sauber of d’Hazorme gets off to a great start, following on from the Sauber’s pace in Australia, he could be a threat for victory, as Bradley Downton and Juho Nykänen move down to second and third.
Franklin, continues his run of poor starts, falling to 10th, with his last season title rival, Felipe Bomeny following suit, losing out to the Mercedes of Kaz Armos.
Alfie Widger has a surprising run of overtakes in the new Spyker, making his way up to 13th, desperately hoping to hold out and finish the race, I’m sure.
The Williams duo have an unfortunate coming together. Kingshark had made an excellent start, but through the Singapore sling, he lost control and rammed into the side of his team mate, ending both of their races immediately.
The McLaren of Peter Varga suffers an unfortunate fuel pump issue, ending his race as well, whilst the Marussia of Gilbert comes to a halt in the run off error at the hairpin…not sure why.
