Wet Specialists Top FP1
Kaz Armos and Bradley Downton, two of this season’s self-proclaimed ‘Wet Weather Specialists’ topped the times in a dreary and damp first practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Armos was just a tenth quicker than Downton’s Pagani who was in turn 4 tenths quicker than World Champion Felipe Bomeny of Ferrari. The grid was once again turned on it’s head with the wet conditions as Red Bull struggled to 14th and 17th, McLaren splashed to 15th and 22nd, and Franklin’s Lotus sank down the timesheets to 23rd place. Championship Leader d’Hazorme was 13th for Sauber.
