BREAKING NEWS: Qualfying Postponed so Downton can Eat Pancakes
Qualifying will begin in roughly… however long it takes me to eat some pancakes. Back shortly guys :P

    *sigh*

EDIT: ‘sigh’ was about practice performance, not pancake-gate :)

At least with the added weight I could stand a chance of out-qualifying him :P

Q1 Results – McLaren out again!
In the horrendous conditions of Malaysia, the cars poured out, trying to get the quickest time, as they messily went about their laps. McLaren continued their misfortunes of Singapore, by once again losing a driver in Q1. The other teams to fall were not so much of a shock. However, our last race winner topped the session, ahead of Bradley Downton in the Pagani, whom continued to show that the Pagani is a monster in the wet, with Oli Peacock confirming that with a 5th place.

    20. Hofman (Infiniti)
    21. Butler (Spyker)
    22. Cucamest (Caterham)
    23. Varga (McLaren)
    24. Eberhart (Mallya)
    25. Widger (Spyker)
    26. Kirkham (Ford)
    27. Bakhtiari (Mallya)
    28. Haddleton (Ford)

I think spoonfeeding Stefan some pancakes just before Q1 wasn’t a good idea…

    Q2 Results – d’Hazorme fails to deliver
The second session was just as wet as the first, but it did not get any easier for the drivers. d’Hazorme, our Championship leader was proof of this, failing to qualify above 17th place, though he was in good company. Our winner in Australia only managed 16th, whilst one of our title contenders last season, Hollis Graham was down in 18th. Nicholas Sunderland was unable to match his team mate, missing out on Q3.

    11. Sunderland (Mercedes)
    12. Czaczyk (Infiniti)
    13. Kingshark (Williams)
    14. Needham (Caterham)
    15. Frog (Marussia)
    16. Morley (McLaren)
    17. d’Hazorme (Sauber)
    18. Graham (Red Bull)
    19. Gilbert (Marussia)

Downton Storms to Shock Pole Despite Pancake Weight
He may have topped practice, and fought at the top end of Qualifying last time out, but no-one expected Bradley Downton to replicate that here, or indeed go one step better, as he did, by claiming Pagani’s maiden pole position, despite gorging on Pancakes prior to Qualifying. Downton was on pole by just under two tenths from last time polesitter Juho Nykänen while Tom Robson wrung the neck of the RB9 to put it third on the grid. Both Pagani’s made the top 10 but after locking up on his first lap and spinning off and getting stranded on his second, Peacock ended the session 10th.

    Q3 Results
    1. Downton (Pagani)
    2. Nykänen (Lotus)
    3. Robson (Red Bull)
    4. Chan (Sauber)
    5. Franklin (Lotus)
    6. Ingram (Williams)
    7. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    8. Armos (Mercedes)
    9. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    10. Peacock (Pagani)

Absolutely amazed from where Pagani have come from since Australia, when I said at least Bradley can’t fix it…..

11? With 2 wet skill? I’ll take it happily!

    Once again outperformed by Ingram?

    IT’S A CONSPIRACY

  • Profile picture of Juan Pablo Heidfeld Juan Pablo Heidfeld said 3 months, 1 week ago:

I completely expected the Pagani pole position, cos Bradley’s in the team :p

@formula-1 – This is just in the wet, watch us plummet in the race! You have to see, my wet skill is at 13, Oli’s is 12, which is like, miles higher than anyone else, as we knew this was our only chance to score points :L
