    Aww darn it, mad at myself for missing this one….

    Any possibility of taking up as a reserve, in case anyone feels like not doing it any longer? (pwease)

    @Polishboy808 – You shall be our first reserve ;)

    Ingram tops only Dry Session of the Weekend
    Championship leader William Ingram took the fastest time in the second practice session, run in conditions completely different to the first. Just as first practice ended the rain stopped and the track dried sufficiently without further rainfall in time for FP2. The two Red Bull’s and Lotuses followed up with Mathershaw’s Ferrari 6th and home favourite Chan in 7th for Sauber. Bomeny could only manage 13th in the second Ferrari while the morning session’s fastest men, Butch Coolidge and Tom Robson could only manage 15th and 17th respectively. Alfie Widger of McLaren struggled massively with handling problems during the session, only managing 20th place.

    In the old game, random.org hated me for the first two races before I bounced back and won three consecutive GPs. So far, the pattern is looking pretty similar :)

    @brazil2007 – Except now you’re in a Caterham, so if you win… Wow :L

    @JamieFranklinF1 Woot! Now I get to do awesome reserve driver things, like sit there and do nothing!

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

    @bradley13 Yes, quite.

    I know this is a long way off, but how are driver transfers going to work next season? Is it going to be based on championship position? Because, if so, then we won’t see much change in lineup.

    @Brazil2007 – We haven’t discussed that yet, but we’ll be sure to work out a fair system for all, if possible :)

    Out in Qualifying 1
    18th – Andae d’Hazorme (Caterham) – 1:48.328
    19th – Bull Frog (Marussia) – 1:48.783
    20th – Matthjis Hofman (HRT) – 1:49.104
    21st – Kevin Cucamest (Toro Rosso) – 1:49.209
    22nd – Oli Peacock (Marussia) – 1:49.246
    23rd – Nicholas Sunderland (Caterham) – 1:49.462
    24th – Téa Kirkham (HRT) – 1:50.001

    In a difficult session, the usual contenders were the first to fall. Oli Peacock in particular was looking strong early on, until a mistake at the penultimate turn lost him a good second or so on his final run.

    Not a great weekend so far! Hoping to see another race of attrition (but, as Andae said, in front of us this time).

    On another note, I can’t help but be amused about how the Canadian GP is being held on January 9th :P

    Out in Qualifying 2
    11th – Tom Robson (Mercedes) – 1:47.313
    12th – Felipe Bomeny (Ferrari) – 1:47.472
    13th – Kaz Armos (Force India) – 1:47.558
    14th – Ben Haddleton (Force India) – 1:47.606
    15th – Nic Morley (Williams) – 1:47.838
    16th – Ben Needham (Toro Rosso) – 1:47.896
    17th – Alfie Widger (McLaren) – 1:48.015

    In a shocking turn of events, we see both Felipe Bomeny and Alfie Widger out in Q2. Bomeny looked confident in the early stages, but couldn’t quite improve enough to enable a top 10 result. Alfie seemed to struggle for the entirety of Q2, complaining of a lack of grip, caused by low temperatures in the tyres. Tom Robson narrowly misses out in Q3 once again, as the Force Indias improve upon their practice times to finish 13th and 14th.
