    4. Haddleton (Force India)
    5. Coolidge (Williams)
    6. Franklin (Lotus)
    7. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    8. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    9. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    10. Butler (Mercedes)
    11. Chan (Sauber)
    12. Sunderland (Caterham)
    13. Robson (Mercedes)
    14. Armos (Force India)
    15. Morley (Williams)
    16. Kirkham (HRT)
    17. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    18. d’Hazorme (Caterham)
    19. Widger (HRT)
    20. Frog (Marussia)

Lap 36 – Varga’s looking really racey in the Sauber, in fact, he’s within DRS range, and blasts past Downton’s Lotus into 2nd, Fantastic!
Lap 38 – Kingshark’s gone wide at the hairpin! The fan’s cheer at seeing a car so close, but groan when they realise he’s Canadian! Kingshark falls to 9th.
Lap 38 – Butler’s gone off at the Hairpin as well, is there oil on the track? He re-joins 10th.
Lap 42 – It’s a mistake by Morley dropping him to 15th, Sunderland’s Caterham now up into 12th, and closing on Chan!
Lap 46 – Bomeny tries to pass his teammate at turn 1, but both go off, and Coolidge passes them both! Domenicali will not be pleased!
Lap 51 – Franklin looks like he’s struggling, Haddleton and Coolidge all over the back of him, into the DRS zone, one goes one side, one goes the other, Franklin goes down to 6th!

So close to the points… I must do it for my home crowd…

Wow Nicholas! Come on, you can do it!

And go Holland of course – first Dutch Grand Prix victory in history?

  • Profile picture of Alfie Alfie said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Yes, passed Frog!

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

@andae23 Yes. The best Dutch result was Jos the Boss, 3rd twice. Only three other Dutch drivers have scored points.

  • Profile picture of andae23 andae23 said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

Ehm… Carel Godin de Beaufort and Christiaan Albers are probably the other two?

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

@andae23 Yeah, and one other guy.

  • Profile picture of andae23 andae23 said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

Ah of course, I forgot Gijs van Lennep

  • Profile picture of ShaneB457 ShaneB457 said 4 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Ret (20). Butler (Mercedes)
    Ret. Ingram (McLaren)
    Ret. Graham (Red Bull)
    Ret. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)
    Ret. Peacock (Marussia)

Lap 56 – Franklin won’t take that lying down, he’s been all over the back of Coolidge since the latter passed, and now he uses DRS to re-take 5th.
Lap 62 – Sunderland looking really strong, passes Chan easily into the hairpin for 11th, in fact, Chan’s gone wide! He’s fallen to 14th with that.
Lap 67 – There’s a car in the Wall of Champions, and the safety car is called. It’s a Mercedes, it’s Butler from 9th! That promotes Sunderland into the points for Caterham!
Lap 70 This race finishes under safety car, and it’s Hofman who wins on his McLaren debut, unfortunately this means back to HRT for Mexico. A fantastic second for Varga in the Sauber and Downton collects a third podium in a row with 3rd. Sunderland collects his solitary point, and there are tears from the team, and probably from him as well, especially in front of his home crowd.
