    Out in Q2
    11. Armos (Force India)
    12. Varga (Sauber)
    13. Butler (Mercedes)
    14. Coolidge (Williams)
    15. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    16. Haddleton (Force India)
    17. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)

The track dried up a little for the second part of qualifying, allowing the Lotus boys to finish 1st and 3rd. However, it was the rain meister, Butch Coolidge that was the biggest surprise, being beaten by his team mate, Nic Morley in conditions that usually he would excel in.

    Qualifying Results
The rain came down hard for the third and final part of qualifying, putting the drivers to the test as they navigated the fast corners of the Silverstone circuit. The crowd had a lot to cheer about (despite the weather), with the top 5 spots being filled by British drivers. Franklin led the charge, having hovered around the top spot for all of qualifying, followed by the Red Bull of Hollis Graham, just under two tenths behind. The Ferrari of Felipe Bomeny succumbed to the ‘curse of the Championship leader’ and couldn’t quite match his team mate, finishing in 6th.

Yes, third is a good qualifying spot, I think my highest yet, so hopefully this will give me a chance to win the British Grand Prix :P

    Race Update 1
    1. Graham (Red Bull)
    2. Franklin (Lotus)
    3. Downton (Lotus)
    4. Widger (McLaren)
    5. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    6. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    7. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    8. Morley (Williams)
    9. Armos (Force India)
    10. Varga (Sauber)
    11. Coolidge (Williams)
    12. Ingram (McLaren)
    13. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    14. Haddleton (Force India)
    15. Butler (Mercedes)
    16. Chan (Sauber)
    17. d’Hazorme (Caterham)
    18. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)
    19. Kirkham (HRT)
    20. Sunderland (Caterham)
    21. Hofman (HRT)
    22. Frog (Marussia)
    Ret. Robson (Mercedes)
    Ret. Peacock (Marussia)

Lap 1 We’re off! The Red Bull of Hollis Graham gets a great start, taking Franklin into turn 1.
Lap 1 Ingram gets an appalling start! Falling out of the points within the first two corners. Completely swamped by the cars around him.
Lap 4 Downton and Widger are all over Matershaw right now. He’s not looking quite as strong as in qualifying. The Lotus gets better traction off the final corner, and takes off passed the Ferrari, claiming third place.
Lap 5 Almost immediately after, Alfie has followed suit, driving around the outside of the Ferrari through turn 6!
Lap 10 Kingshark is looking a little more confident now, he looks visibly quicker than the Williams of Morley, allowing him to have much better traction out of turn 4, and drives straight passed Nic Morley into 7th.
Lap 14 Not sure how or where it has happened in particular, but both Varga and Coolidge are both looking very good, looking to find a way passed the Force India or Armos.

    Race Update 2
    1. Graham (Red Bull)
    2. Mathershaw (Ferrari)
    3. Widger (McLaren)
    4. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    5. Franklin (Lotus)
    6. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    7. Armos (Force India)
    8. Morley (Williams)
    9. Coolidge (Williams)
    10. Varga (Sauber)
    11. Ingram (McLaren)
    12. Chan (Sauber)
    13. Needham (Toro Rosso)
    14. Butler (Mercedes)
    15. Cucamest (Toro Rosso)
    16. Haddleton (Force India)
    17. Kirkham (HRT)
    18. d’Hazorme (Caterham)
    19. Sunderland (Caterham)
    20. Hofman (HRT)
    21. Frog (Marussia)
    Ret. Downton (Lotus)

Lap 17 The rain is coming down harder now, catching out Bradley Downton as he spins off into the gravel. There will be no getting out of that one for him. Alfie Widger now claims the coveted final podium spot.
Lap 19 Jamie Franklin’s Lotus seems to be struggling for grip now as well, getting a bit wide there, and allowing Widger to slide through easily into second!
Lap 20 This has been a terrible few laps for Lotus. Matershaw has now shot up the inside of turn 1, pushing Franklin further down the order!
Lap 23 The Ferrari of Matershaw continues his charge, claiming Alfie Widger as his next victim. The scarlet car looks to have so much grip compared to its competitors.
Lap 25 Matershaw isn’t the only one to be feeling this now, as Bomeny sets off passing Franklin out of turn 7.
Lap 29 It was looking like Armos was going to lose positions to Varga and Coolidge at one point, but now he has upped his pace and passed Morley instead!
Lap 30 Matershaw has closed the gap to Graham now. Could we really have a ninth different winner?

    4. Franklin (Lotus)
    5. Bomeny (Ferrari)
    6. Kingshark (Red Bull)
    7. Ingram (McLaren)
    8. Morley (Williams)
    9. Armos (Force India)
    10. Coolidge (Williams)

    18. Hofman (HRT)
    19. Frog (Marussia)
    Ret. Varga (Sauber)
    Ret. Chan (Sauber)

Lap 31 Jamie Franklin isn’t taking this lying down, as he makes his way back passed Bomeny into turn 1. Probably the most interesting battle on track right now.
Lap 37 William Ingram has made significant progress, pushing passed Kaz Armos! However, it has led to Armos going wide through turn 6, and Nic Morley sneaks back through!
Lap 40 The previous race-winner, Varga comes to a halt on the side of the track. The team radio suggests that he’s had a gearbox failure.
Lap 44 Almost immediately after, a repeat incident has occurred, with Jackie Chan stopping in the exact same spot, claiming the same problem.

Shame to have retired, I felt like I was on for some decent points today :/

I’d also like to confirm the dry pace upgrade for Mercedes.
