In an exciting third quarter, Jackie Chan was able to re-pass Jamie Franklin and make a move on the McLaren of Ingram, taking the lead of the race, could Sauber get their third win before the likes of Red Bull and Ferrari? Jamie Franklin was likewise able to get passed the McLaren, with Downton soon following suit.
d’Hazorme picked up the pace, picking up 7th place, as he passed the second Ferrari, pushing him wide, which then allowed Mathershaw passed. The second Sauber fell down the order, down to 11th, allowing Sunderland into the final points paying position.
Unless we have some retirements, it’s looking like Chan could take the win, and Downton may just yet pass Franklin for second…

Will moving down. McLaren are the only team simulated well here.

@olliekart Haha, no I didn’t mean it that way. My season just hasn’t been good even for STR’s standards in the real world :(

McLaren do seem to be the best simulated here, though Mercedes have been as well, with their retirements and slump in form. Caterham have to be the luckiest team on the grid though.

Not much change in the top 10 for the final quarter, apart from Sunderland getting up to 9th, as well as the second Sauber achieving 10th on the final lap from Bomeny’s Ferrari.
A big congratulations to Chan for getting Sauber’s third victory, which was quite incredible. Red Bull didn’t do too badly either, considering their FP1 results.

@jamiefranklinf1 Luckiest? This is thanks to our dry upgrades. Nothing to do with luck.

Haha, I will have to say that Caterham have been a little ‘luckier’ with the upgrades ;) as opposed to some other teams.
