Qualiifying: 7th?
Race: 4th
After a good amount of preparation, and looking at what the pole time was – I was pretty confident, actually. But I really wasn’t getting on with the chicane – and @alfie It’d be great if you could avoid giving a commentaryin the middle of a session as it’s really distracting! This is no excuse for my result, though – just something to remember!
The race was interesting and the second half really boring. The start had @JamieFranklinF1 slow down really quickly in front of me and there wasn’t a lot I could do. I managed to get past, and then I think a number of incidents were triggered. Apologies to @David-A who was also pretty laggy up the climb – and I couldn’t help but clip the back into Massanet ever so slightly. It was enough to jeopardise your race, so really sorry about that, mate!
I was in the top 3 and then fluffed it at the chicane. I had to let everyone past and do a 360 spin. My hopes of being near the front were dwindling, and it wasn’t until my second and third stints where I settled down and got some clean air. I was easily on the pace of the leaders, and consistent too – but that’s not very useful 30 seconds or so down!
My loneliest Collantine Cup race ever, I think! Great win by @commonmonsoon and generally great, clean drives from the top 3.
