There’s a new video on the CC channel showing a very upbeat iamsa8 get lagged into by most of the field.

And that’s why it’s taken so long for me to upload a race..

Now everyone knows my secret :S

The annoying part of watching Steve’s video there, is that he was still faster than me. He was there chatting away to his lady friend, while I was there concentrating as hard as I possibly could to drive as fast as I could.

On a positive note though, if I continue to make progress like I have done this season, I could be Collantine Cup champion in the year 2057! :D

There’s something very weird happening in @aus_steve‘s video. If you look at the 2:55 mark, Steve is spun into the Nouvelle chicane, and after he lets everyone go, he attempts to rejoin but hits @electrolite who has appeared from no-where. But if you rewind and look at the mini map you can follow the dot heading backwards towards the Nouvelle chicane which turns out to be Electrolite. Did this even happen or was Electrolite really somewhere else? I cannot imagine he was driving around the track backwards just to spin the car around!

@commonmonsoon Edit: found the video now. Man, that makes me look like a right thug :(

I span at the Nouvelle chicane, and, because a three-point turn would have just caused carnage, went back a few metres to spin the car around in the run-off. I remember I had done so and not hit anybody, and when I tried to spin around for some reason or other I wasn’t expecting him to be there. His car was transparent and appeared to be recovering from a hit. I didn’t think I would hit him, or certainly wouldn’t deliberately turn into him. This is what I recall, anyway – I might have just done a terrible job of spinning :(

@Aus_Steve – Sorry about that incident on lap 3, I had no idea that you’d spun from it. All I had felt was a tap from you, and then I bounced off the barrier, which looked a lot worse from your point of view, and I assure you was not my intention :)

Pretty much definitely not in for Singapore.

  • Profile picture of Stephen Jones Stephen Jones said 5 months ago:

Don’t worry about it guys! That lag was crazy.

My only bad feeling was about someone I squeezed into the wall on the exit of Tabac (sorry!) and someone I spun on the entry to Massenet.

    Hopefully Spa is better! Hopefully..

To be fair, last years race we had in Singapore was not a crash-fest. We had a lot of great racing in last year, with the vast majority of it being clean. Monaco has always been a crash-fest in the Collantine Cup, but I don’t see why we can’t have a great race in Singapore apart from if the lag is bad enough.

I think Alfie means he won’t be around to race. Which is a shame because this dude’s quick and clean!

Found a great tool for translating web pages. The OP is now brilliant.

Is that a Craaazy Dave C translation?

@slr what Monsoon said. I really wanted to race at Singapore, because I won the F1F F1 race there last year.

  • Profile picture of JamieFranklinF1 JamieFranklinF1 said 5 months ago:

Yeah, I have come to the conclusion that @Alfie is the master of street circuits. Mighty quick in Singapore, and obviously quick in Monaco too.

Ok then, clearly I misunderstood what you said before.
