I’m at my fathers this weekend, and his internet is quite poor. I should be attending but I am worried that I might be quite laggy

Alright, will everyone be able to make it in time so we can begin on the hour? Would be nice to give @slr sufficient time in order to recreate our final lap battle from last year!

Charge your cameras, have a glass of water at the ready and prepare for the toughest, sweatiest and longest race of the season.

Lol, I highly doubt I will ahead of you during the race.

Anything can happen in the Collantine Cup, and it usually does.

I don’t think the Harry Potter studio tour was worth it to miss one of my quickest tracks.

Apparently you can get disqualified for parking in the run off area too long…. Who knew…..

    Quali – 2nd
I expected @CommonMonsoon to be much quicker than me, so it was nice to see the rain, hoping that it would level the playing field a little. It did somewhat, for most of the session, with Damon only 4 tenths faster, and I knew I could go quicker. However, in the end, he went two seconds faster, and I was left wondering how such a time could be posted.

    Race – 1st
Sat on the grid, hoping that I would get a much better start than the pole sitter. Thankfully, this was the case, and into turn 1, I was first. On the exit of the second corner, I looked behind to see mayhem. Can’t remember who was involved, as the video quality is too poor, but it left Damon with a lot of catching up to do.
By lap 7, Damon was back up to second, some 18 seconds behind me, and going a bit quicker.
I pitted on lap 9, with Damon pitting on lap 10. I came out ahead of @Sato113 (Who was on primes, I believe), and luckily for me Damon came out behind him, but on the options.
In comparison, my pace wasn’t too bad, and I was sure that even with the gap slowly decreasing (eventually to about 12 seconds) I would have a good advantage of being on the options for the final stint.
Unfortunately, it didn’t come down to an epic battle at the end though, as Damon disconnected, and I was alone…

Took a lot of the pressure off, and I slowed down a little. Though, I did make a slight error on the penultimate lap for my primes, allowing ShyGuy to unlap himself. Pitted for options on lap 22, and was much quicker. Passed ShyGuy again, but then he crashed into the back of me Got passed him again when he overshot at the hair pin.

Some good laps after that, including a 1:43.7? Something like that. Could have gone quicker, but I didn’t want to abuse my tyres on rich fuel mix.

The rain came on the final lap, but I was passed the chequered flag before it really started to take any effect. It was funny watching the others struggle on what was quickly a very wet track on slicks. The same thing had happened to me yesterday in a practice race.

Overall, a good race, though I would have liked a battle at the end. Still, pleased to re-take the lead.

    Q: 9th
Qualifying was a writeoff, since I couldn’t get in a good lap in the wet

    R: 4th
I had half-decent race pace, but I was a bit haphazard at times, having racing incidents with at least Slr and Jonny

@Slr – As a side note, Silverkeg was meant to be in the Williams, he unfortunately fell prey to the Marussia’s trap of selecting itself :P

Thanks heaps for that, @slr! I was just about to ask for the results. High five!
