I’m not going to lie, the poor attendances all round this year have been pretty disappointing. Especially considering how much time and effort I’ve put into sorting this out on the back of all my studies and the fact that I’ve given some of you places over others who were keen to join in. I even asked people when they signed up if they would commit to a full schedule of 8 races, and yet we’ve got guys who’ve run 3 races all season and that’s it. If you knew you couldn’t commit, why didn’t you say so and let someone else have your space instead?

It’s almost as if people don’t care or don’t want to be a part of this and see it as an inconvenience. What’s worse is that some people haven’t even had the decency to say they won’t be turning up in advance. If you don’t want to do it anymore, why couldn’t you just say so? I wouldn’t be offended. It’s hard for me not to get upset by that, if I’m honest. Oh well.

I will be there too Mag. I do apologise for not being there for a couple of races, (the third one I missed wasn’t really my fault). The fact that I’m not fighting for wins, or even that many points, is besides the point. It’s been really great fun anyway, and I’m really glad to have races alongside you guys. It’s been a great championship. It’s great to have been a part of it, and thank you for having me.

Here’s a little something for @Silverkeg:

Today we went for a drive around to find a river to swim in (as it was 35°C) and on the way I spotted a sign that I just had to pull over and photograph for you.

It’s a shame that it was today and we’ve missed it, because I bet it would have been an absolute riot.

I shall be there. And since I freed up some space on my iPhone…I will be recording the race in HD*. I hope you look forward to it. ;)

*a HD recording of my HD TV, that is. Somehow it will work out as low res as before.
