I will be creating a calendar and a list of cars to choose from, I just thought I would put this thread together and make a championship for ‘Le Mans Prototypes’ race cars.

There will be 16 drivers, myself included so currently there are 15 race seats left. Please if you want to join, please do. The races will last approximately 45 minutes and not the usual 6 hours :)

To put together a race calendar and to get 16 names, I guess it will be around 2-3 weeks for the first race. Car list will be up tomorrow and it’s only one car per driver. But please don’t choose your car yet if you are about to post, as it might not make the list I am about to produce.

    Cheers JT ;)

Yes, I’m in as well, this sounds great!

Hopefully we can find a mutually agreeable time that doesn’t clash with other F1 2010 or GT5 leagues!

  • Profile picture of ed24f1 ed24f1 said 1 year, 9 months ago:

    Mazda 787B please (regular model)

Difficult to pick without knowing the rules and regs! i.e If boost is off then car choice doesn’t really matter, ditto PP limits, but if boost is on or there are no PP limits things get tricky!

Do you mean the other way around Dan? I think if boost is on, then car choice doesn’t really matter, as all cars basically become equal.

  • Profile picture of Dan Thorn Dan Thorn said 1 year, 9 months ago:

    Yes I did, sorry!

  • Profile picture of Dizzy-A Dizzy-A said 1 year, 9 months ago:

    I’ll go for the Audi R8 ’05.

  • Profile picture of matt90 matt90 said 1 year, 9 months ago:

Think I’ll take the Sauber, although I doubt it matters too much as I’m sure there’ll be a PP limit.

i’ll take the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Team Peugeot Total ’10 for now :)

    RULES & REGS
    —————-

    No Boost

PP Limit will either be 710 or 720 – depends if all race cars can achieve 720

    8 circuits – World & Road tracks

TCS is allowed, ASM is allowed, Driving Line is allowed, Skid Recovery is allowed, ABS is allowed

Car can be any weight, any power, as long as it is in the PP zone

Make sure you pick a car that has headlights, but I am pretty much sure they all do to fit in with Le Mans overnight regulations.

Race will be approximately 40 minutes long, not sure about qualifying as it doesn’t seem important in GT5

And guys, this isn’t a serious competition, it’s just for fun and to have a good time ;)
