Could I switch teams to Force India, being a team mate with Iain Stewart?

Qualifying has never been my strong suit, so I wasn’t expecting much during Quali today. I did a couple of laps on the primes, and set a half decent time, but my second attempt was ruined and came in straight after. I had a look at the times, and what tyres people were on, and it was quite possible that with the option tyres, I could get a decent position.
My first run on the options was nothing special, and on my second run, my DRS didn’t close during braking, which meant that I span out and ruined what would have been a very good lap time, at least a second and a half if not more improvement.

This meant that I started 5th, which wasn’t good. There’s nothing worse than being in the midfield going into the first corner. However, today wasn’t too bad. I got a little tap from behind, but nothing too serious. My pace was good on the options, and I made sure that I was being sensible behind Moss, and not going for any do-or-die moves that would likely ruin one of our, if not both, races. This was my logic, but clearly not Ed’s, who on the 3rd lap (possibly) who going down into turn 3, launched a move down the inside and almost spun me out. This not only lost me time but also backed me into the rest of the pack. I tried to take my normal line into turn 4 on the inside, but was completely crowded by another driver (possibly Ed, not sure) and Robocat, who I think was at the most disadvantage from me being there. I assure you Robo that I didn’t even see you, all I could see was this other car, so I don’t know if you turned in and found me there or what, but I’m really sorry.

After this little ‘incident’, there wasn’t much hope. Especially when Brooksy decided to go for a move of his own, and take me out into turn 13 I think it was. I really don’t understand. You all claim to be fair drivers, and yet some of you can’t seem to overtake cleanly. By all means, go for a gap if you see it, but be sensible about it. When I’m behind someone, I make sure to brake a little earlier and make sure that I don’t run into the back of them, just because I can take a corner quicker than them. I also only ever overtake (especially at tracks that are difficult to overtake on) when I know the other person can see me, like being side by side, or edging out in front. Seriously, I don’t want another season of people hitting into me and constantly spoiling my races, and I’m sure none of you do too, so be considerate, please.

As for penalties, I was lucky enough to gain penalties from accidentally cutting across a corner whilst trying not to hit someone who was going slow, even though I didn’t gain a place. By being hit by Ed and hit by Brooksy too. I don’t know why the game punished me for these, but hey that’s what happens. I think I accumulated 40 seconds from these, which is clearly ridiculous.

My real finishing place is a lowly 5th, with it being demoted to 5th I think thanks to the unfair penalties.

Quali was a shock for me, i had not driven for a week and was expecting to be in the midfield. Both my primes laps were ruined by 1. A semi-spin at T7 2. Being held up another driver. So i stuck a set off options on and my first lap i was 3 tenths up on Moussa’s after S1 but i ran wide at T8/9. On my second lap i was equal with Moussa after S1 but 6 tenths down after S2, which is why i was so shocked to pull back a whole second in S3 for what was then pole. I didn’t finish my last lap due to wanting to save my tyres. Congrats to abbmacher for the pole though.

My start was poor compared to abbmacher but good compared to Moussa’s and Nic’s. Me and abbmacher were dicing for the first lap and he finally cracked at the penultimate corner where he went wide this gave me the run around the outside for the final turn and was a car length ahead by the start/finish line. abbmacher then dived up the inside into T1 and nudged me a little wide but he bounced of me and into the barrier. Moussa then closed up and we roughly separated by a 1.5secs every lap until lap 5 when i pitted for primes after Moussa had pitted i was 5secs ahead but he closed the gap down on fresher primes. Then a VERY SLOW Ed appears and doesn’t bother to get out of the way holding me and Moussa up, i don’t quite no what happened with Ed he was 9th and we lapping about 20 seconds faster then him. I then pitted on Lap 15 for another set off primes but Moussa built up enough of a lead to hold me off coming of the pits on options i then got a 40 sec penalty for cutting 4 consecutive corners, on Lap 18 so i backed off considerably to prevent another one. On Lap 20 i then came up to lap Ed again and he still didn’t see me. Then on the last lap i got another one penalty. I raged so bad in my room. I do have unrivalled passion for hating this game. I then left after i finished and Moussa told me i finished 5th. I don’t know what we are doing about over turing the penalties in the winter series but by the looks of thing almost everyone got at least one so i would over turn all of them.

That would be cool. I know it wasnlt intentional, jsut one of those things

test session:
qualifying report: 1st place
my first lap was an ok lap, i had allot of traffic, but managed to make a decent time. my second run i was 5 tenths faster in s2 but traffic at s3 i lost arround 4 tenths.

race report: 1st place + fastest lap
it was surprised to see rain, and i didnt have the best setup for the rain. so i had a good decent start, and then my brakes locked in turn 2 so i lost 2 pos. after a couple of laps asanator made a lil mistake and i took advantage and overtook him, then i went after abbmacher. 1 laps later he made a mistake, gained a pos, and went on.
i noticed that my brakes were locking most of the time so i realised that i forgot to change my brakes setup, i had fuel on lean to save fuel so that i can take advantage of extra laps with rich mix later in the race, abbmacher was consistently gaining time on me until i make a mistake in the last corner, he pitted one lap before me, then i pitted for another set of intermediets, came out and i was about 2 seconds off abbmacher, lap after lap i made up some time on him but i was consistently making mistakes in every lap, overtook him first time then brakes locks and i and went off, 2 laps later came back overtook him at the same straight but he kinda knocked me out of the track. 3 laps remaining and he was 6+ seconds ahead, i pushed as hard at i can, till i caught up to him, then at the last lap corner corner, after abb making a small mistake, i went from the outside and overtook him. what a dramatic race for me.

well done on a good race, I think we all blew out some cornering cob web today. I am sure the racing will get cleaner and faster as we settle in to the season.

Quali was good. I started out on a 4 lap stint on options and was temporarily on pole before getting bumped to second, maybe third. I went out for a final run on light fuel and options, I was shocked when I landed up with pole as a few corners were less than perfect. Well done too all it was quite close in the end.

The race started well, I got off the line with minimal spin at the back end and got on the kers and rich fuel by second gear. That enabled me to hold the lead into turn one. From memory I made a bit of a hash of the turn entry but got through clean. The first lap was good with olliekart in chase. After a scruffy last sector Ollie got past me and I was in full pursuit mode. I thought I had a good drag on him into turn one I was in his tow on full fuel with KERS and thought I had pulled slightly ahead by the braking zone. I braked as late as i though possible but ended up running slightly wide probably due to the inside dirty linemaking the slightest of contact with him/ (Very sorry) In future I will try to let the race settle and find my and my nearest rivals race pace. After my brush with the barrier I ended up last. Glad you were not affected ollie.

From then on it was head down and just try and put in quali laps. I am not sure what happened but I was runnin 5th on about lap 19 and the was demotted to 6th as I passed the pits and was not overtaken at any point. The other baffling thig was I am sure i passed ed twice and he always seemed to be goin very slow. This was confusing as I understand he was champ last seaon, and my brother assanator had told me of his speed. Hence, i was skightly baffled mid race. even stranger was that he somehow finishe ahead of me and I had no penalties….

Long and short of it, I had a good race and did not encounter and careless driving, I was also pleased with the quali track ettiquette. Drivers moved over when on out and in laps and caused me no problems.

Lets hope for more of the same… (with the odd win thrown in for good measure)

I noticed that as well. On a few consecutive laps during the middle of the race, Ed was either holding me up by going slowly (because I wasn’t sure if he was actually there) or the ghost of his car was stopped in the middle of the track, sideways. Very strange.

Just poor, im nowhere near as quick as any of you guys and so was surprised at 9th, ahead of Brooksy who didnt go out?
Race
Didn’t get a bad start and was inbetween a Williams and Asanator as we went into turn 1, granted they were probably both a little ahead but they both just merged together and i got squashed in the middle, ended up with Asanator being turned around in front of me (sorry mate, there was no where I could have gone) and got a penalty for that, and another for pushing him about half a metre. Eventually we were off but by the second lap there were cars off everywhere. I can’t remember what lap things happened but the incidents for me that stick out:
I was ahead of Brooksy and driving as normal, obviously he was quicker and wanted to get passed but i wasnt just gunna pull over and let him through, eventually into turn 1 he just bumped me wide which upset me a little as normally Brooksy is a very fair driver.
With regards to ed, on my game he was stuck in a wall in the pitlane :/
I picked up one penalty for corner cutting which was stupid really, i didn’t even have 2 wheels over the kerb.
With regards to the RoboCAT incident at the end, again, i think i was driving normally, i never felt anything with regards to the turn 2 incident, if i’d have turned in on you i’d have felt something had you spun, in my opinion, sounds like LAG, but I do apologise.
Personally, i feel the standard of driving seemed a bit poor today, but, we’ll move on from it, any incident that you want investigated, please write it up.
All Penalties will be overturned, they’re stupid and pointless, if I could turn them off, i would, but i can’t and thus I will do the next best thing, completely remove them all. End of.
