I will struggle to make a 9am start, so I would rather not change if that is ok.

    Cheers

@BROOKSY007 – Asanator has stated he cannot make the 9am, we will discuss further but unless you can convince him (for whichever race it is) unfortunately it won’t happen :/.

Also, i have the updated Wiki… (finally): http://f1fanatic.wikia.com/wiki/2011/2012_F1F_Formula_One_PS3_Winter_World_Championship

    @ed24f1, @Asanator, @colinf, @RoboCAT, @f199player, @Formula-1, @BROOKSY007, @Moss-611, @JamieFranklinF1, @ayrtonsenna01, @abboracing, @midgetiser.

The Singapore Grand Prix will be this Sunday (Sunday 22nd January 2012) at 10am UK Time.

I hope to see you all there, especially @ayrtonsenna01, @colinf and @midgetiser, who have, as yet, unfortunately failed to join us for any races :(

Ayrtonsenna01 is having major internet problems at the moment, that’s why he can’t make it.

Thanks for the DoD votes, I think I was a little lucky to win it though!

I remembered him telling me that after I wrote it, but still no word from colinf or midgestiser :/

Ugh. What an awful race! Couldnt do a lap in quali cos i kept spinning or cutting a corner and think i managed about 5 clean laps in the race without hitting a wall. Internet then cut out on what i guess was the final lap but quie glad i didn’t have to see how many times i was lapped ;) If there was a 107% rule online i wouldn’t have even got anywhere close on that track.

    Quali report: p1 (1:32.3**)

Not a perfect lap I lost 5 tenths of a seconds from my first run at sector one being held behind JF.

    Race report: p2 with 2 penalties p3 (1:32.9**)

I had a good start and pulled a gap on brook, Ed was third and 6 seconds behind, then I meet the first invisible wall at t12 I think , my car went side way and lost first place to brook.

Then at t4 another invisible wall came up I didn’t even touch the wall and my car spun like crazy and I think Ed went right thru me and I got a 10s penalty for that.

Pitted for primes again, again arround lap 10 or 11 I was going straight after t7 all of a sudden my car just stopped by an invisible wall lol, then I pitted again lap 13 for options I was held by George for a couple of laps, so Ed went out just 3s ahead and I got frustrated my tires were wearing out for nothing, I tryed a couple of moves but George was defending hard abit unfair, moving arround allot, then I overtook him on lap 16 I think, we kind of touched but in my screen he was behind, I could tell by the arrow.

Lap 18 i pitted for primes ( a bit strange because I picked the options) I had another penalty entering the pits and it said for cutting corners, so after I pitted a few laps later brook came out ahead, and I saw him slamming into an invisible wall, bad luck, so I went on and again an invisible wall came up, same one I had after t7.

Finished p3 but it was unfair the invisible walls are ridiculous here, I hope code masters can fix that, congrats to Ed, to me this race was one of those few races that everything go wronge for me.

It wasn’t an invisable wall!! It was either f199 or jf, either a mclaren or williams!! I was on their gearbox for over half a lap and they didn’t yield at all! I was the fkn leader by 5 seconds and they just kept banging into me!! It is ridiculous behaviour and I lost the race due to that.

    Simple – post over!!

A pretty quiet race for me, really. I focused on not making mistakes, and that seemed to help me in the end. I know from previous experience that the invisible walls aren’t in the middle of the track, you only hit them if you’re rubbing the walls or very close to, so I tried to leave as much room as possible.

The start was also quiet, the only notable thing for me was losing a place to Brooksy. On about Lap 4, I lost a few seconds having to slam on the brakes to avoid a spinning Williams at Turn 5. At the end of my first stint, I almost spun a few times, as my tyres went off the cliff.

I was right with Brooksy mid-race, and then he had a spin and I managed to get past him, and was able to stay there until the end of the race.

    Quali report:
My qualifying was terrible, I had no grip at all on the primes, and the setup I had saved just wasn’t working like it was when I had practiced it. Not only that, but I’d switched my DRS button during practice to avoid using it, and had forgotten to put it back to normal, so I didn’t have use of my DRS during my qualifying laps.
I was also held up during qualifying when I went out on options, and still didn’t have a lot of grip, so I came back in, tried to do one more lap on fresh primes, but I was too late.

    Race report:
My race wasn’t much better. I had a good start, but Asanator spun in front of me at the first corner (and as I drove into the side of him, I got a penalty), so I couldn’t capitalise as much as I had liked. I was then stuck behind a Force India (can’t remember the name) for a lap, and turned down the engine as he grew more confidence in the car and drove away.
I had no grip at all in the car, and had so much understeer, it was unbelievable. I was used to going around a few corners in 3rd gear, but I frequently had to shift down to 2nd in order to make the corner.
A few times, I was crashed into by both Asanator, and the Force India, which was a little ridiculous, as some of these moves were pretty daring, and had no regard for me whatsoever. These moves also resulted in me getting penalties, which I thought was ridiculous, especially considering I have no proof and will probably be held there.

All in all, it was a bit of a rubbish race. With damage not on, people just are too careless, and I don’t like it at all. I also have no idea what Brooksy is on about, because I wasn’t lapped at all during the race, and not once did I have a Merc behind me (bar qualifying, in which I let Moss pass me to continue his lap).

My vote for DoD is Brooksy.
