F1 Fanatic

A disastrous race for me, Qualy went ok I guess, I put in the banker lap at the start of the session, I was up on the ultimate pole time on run 2 when I took a little too much in the penultimate corner….it flashed up a warning for corner cutting, but didn’t invalidate the lap….I was watching for it…went past the pits and it flashed up as I crossed the line….with not enough time to get back for the 3rd run! I was 2 tenths up as well!

Ah well. the race start was initially ok, I took a tighter line into the first corner and outbraked a few cars looking for the shallower apex into turn two, I had Ed covered with the incar car indicators but they didn’t show my brother coming round on the wider entry and I touched his car spinning me round (cheers for the vid F199player) and getting a penalty in the process, probably 60/40 my own fault I would say, luckily George wasn’t turned round in the process. Either way I came out of the first couple of corners very last!

My race from then on was a case of catching other cars pretty quickly and not being able to pass, I worked my way up to Jamie in 5th pretty quickly and after a couple of wheel banging attempts (you could leave a little room!) got past and promptly spun the car a few corners later letting him past again! Grrr!

After that I just got my head down and went for it in clear air, my race pace was very good but a couple of spins meant that I held position after the stops and on the last lap caught Jamie again! I had a bit of a lunge down the inside at one of the slower corners and we came together putting him in the wall. I slowed down and waited for him to pass again and was on his gearbox over the line.

A disastrous race for me, I think I got fastest lap though!

Missed quali same as ed due to a late finishing race.

Race – got of the line well but decided to hang back to take advantage of some mayhem! At the end of sector 1 it was f199 who took ed off with an aggressive change of direction! I caught the front 2 only for f199 to spin me at the fast s in sect 2. Got back on track just ahead of ed and had to race hard! My strategy paid off as my pace was great on primes, then options allowed me to gain quite a lot of time.

To start last have a spin and finish 2nd to my team mate was a good day at the office!

Bradley – u had some pace today mate! Good driving!! On the straight where I overtook u – I went up the inside and f199 who was behind me, took the outside of u – only then on my screen he was between us banging wheels! How did u see this? Was it only on my screen?

First, that was some of the most poorest racing I have ever seen. Didn’t have a fair/clean battle with anyone. Which is what i lookforward to most.

Qualifying: 2nd

It wen’t very well. To be in 2nd was above my expectations and only behind the very quick Moss. So nice to start in my best ever position since being in this league.

Race: 6th

This wen’t terrible. I got off the line quite well and think I locked wheels with Moss. I backed out and let him take the lead into turn 1. However I was rammed from some moron sending me down into 8th. Just when I got going again I was hit by sozalos (or whatever his name is, the williams).

I was catching up quickly passing sozalos and I think another driver. Laps later Bradley spun in front of me, which I narrowly avoided. Another lap later I was rammed by Bradley sending me way off and wrecking my chase for 5th. Bradley though did the respectable and decent thing and waited for me to re-pass him.

However a lap later I had passed f199player. He manager to get in the DRS zone and tried a move on me. He came from the inside of me, I had absolulty no room. Result is I spin out again. F199 didnt wait for me.

I was then catching f199 again until I got blue flags. Moss who was the leader at the time obviously wanted to get through. I was right behind f199 until Moss came shoving his way through secnind himself and me into a spin. I’m sorry if this was what costed you your win. Though really where was your patience?? I was to pull over on the next straight.

Losing another chunk of time to f199 I caught back up to him. H espun out and I re-gained 6th place. Rest of the race was boring where I finished in 6th.

Pretty much another decent qualifying wasted. I think next time I won’t bother to qualify and save my tyres. There’s not much point in qualifying if your last by the first corner anyway.

I only got the blue flags when on the pit straight. I don’t think that’s a whole lap. As I said I ws going to let you through but instead you came diving down the inside of me. I don’t know how big your lead was but you can’t say that incident was 100% my fault, no way.

My first stint

For me, it was a bit of a disappointing result, as I was having a great battle with Brooksy the entire race, and then had a spin on my outlap after my 2nd pitstop which cost me about 6 seconds. Without that, I possibly could’ve won considering the eventual penalty for Moussa.

The battle with Brooksy was outstanding, with the DRS zones on this track, we were drafting back and forward almost every lap and always gave each other heaps of room.

Bad luck Moussa, you were unlucky to lose the race with those incidents, you had great pace.
