@david-a – There are quite a few places left in this championship :). Both Ferrari, Mercedes , McLaren and Williams seats are taken and we are trying to pair people up. There appears to be a seat at Red Bull because one of the drivers hasnt raced at all this year. I will have to get back to you on that, but feel free to pick any team other than Ferrari, Mercedes, or Williams :)

@Formula-1 – In the leagues I have, once you have a seat, you stick with it, unless, like in your case, you are in a team of one and a vacancy comes up to make a full team. All drivers in the league are currently with teams, thus will not move. I also did not offer the seat, I informed him of the situation. I am waiting to hear back from colinf as to whether he is racing at all.

If there is a red bull seat going, i will have an in season transfer!!!!

Race review – Germany

Qualifying wen’t well again. This time I took my first pole position! :) I was happy as I qualified on the primes as everyne else did.

My start was a bit tardish losing out to a Force India; then being bassed by a Ferrari on the second corner.

Then up to michelin curve I was hit by… someone. This put me into last. I then caught up to Bradley and passed him at the end of the pit straight. I was then slowly catching a 5th place. Sometimes it was Ed, then Brooksy; though there sure was a fight going on there. This allowed me to close in to about 5 seconds of them.

I pitted and came out behind Bradley who was yet to pit. His tyres were worn and lost a litle time behind him. I came uo behind him but spun myself. I caught back up to him until he spun in front of me.

I then put my engine on fast and tried to claw back the lead to Brooksy. I did ok setting a fastest lap. Though eventually the catching up slowed down. Being around 6 secs behind Brooksy.

People in front of me started pitted. I who was still on the options decided to continue. Abbmacher came out in front of me after his pit stop and remained in front of me as he grew a big lead over me. On lap 20 my tyres were ok. I could handle the car as fine as anything; though the lack of speed was showing. Fourth and fith places Ed and Brooksy caught right at the back of me.

On turn 3 I think, Ed came to pass me but spun himself. This then allowed Brooksy to take 5th from Ed, then 4th from me. Ed then caught back up and made a good pass on me before the chicane.

I then decided to go straight to the pits; as there was no point on continuing on the same tyres. Ed would just pull right away and I had a big lead over Bradley. I pitted for options with four laps to go.

My final four laps were trouble free. I was catching Ed a lot but not fast enough. I corssed the finish line just about 10.1 secs behind Ed. Ed I think is lucky as he got a 10 second time penalty. So just missed out on a 5th place by that little, a tenth. :P

Other then my race being hampered on the first lap I quite enjoyed racing at the Nurburgring. I like the track (maybe not the first kerb of the final chicane) and felt very compfortable with the car.

A thing I had an issue with was something with lag. For some reason my screen would just freeze; though only for a second. I just wondering if this is the same issue @BROOKSY007 was talking about at the last race.

I look forward to the race in Canada. :)

An OK race for me, a pretty poor qualifying saw me start 3rd but I managed to gain a place going through T1 and T2 from RoboCat and followed Abbmacher with cars jostling for position behind me. I turned the revs down on Lap 1 to get my fuel saving out of the way and a couple of little mistakes meant that Ed and Moussa started catching me while Abbmacher pulled away by about 1s.

On lap 3 or 4 I came round the first corner to find Abbmacher facing the wrong way (apparently he hit a remarkable solid bit of bollard in the middle of the track) and I was up into the lead but my fuel saving had meant that the guys behind were within that dreaded 1s DRS zone so I had to defend going into the Veedol chicane (which was always going to involve sticking to the inside line).

Apparently my defence was a bit aggressive but I’m afraid I don’t see it that way. As I said I was always going to stick to the inside line coming off T13 (Hatzenbects-Bogen ?) I moved straight across to my defensive position at the edge of the track. It would appear that my team-mate Ed behind me misjudged his closing speed and took to the grass in avoidance (at no point was any part of your car alongside me, I was was watching the in-car indicators very closely. see Moussa’s vid @ 7m36). It certainly wasn’t intentional either way.

After that I had to defend from Moussa and eventually fell victim to his DRS attack on lap 7. After that I was keeping him honest until a magical Brooksy Ghost appeared in front of me braking mid corner causing me to spin. I seem to be encountering these every race although at Valencia it was both Brooksy and Ed. It happened again going through the Veedol Chicane as I was about to make my first stop which gave Moussa a 6-7 second lead which I clung on to as best i could but his pace in the last stint was impressive.

Ultimately I finished 2nd, which is not a bad result, It was a shame about the ed incident as we could have gotten some good points for the team.
