We are now just after half way through the F1 season, so here’s my annual Mid-season Awards.

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel / Fernando Alonso
Worst Driver: Narain Karthikeyan
Lewis Hamilton Award for Best Rookie: Sergio Perez
Yuji Ide Award for Worst Rookie: Pastor Maldonado
Best Team: Red Bull
Worst Team: Williams / Hispania
Best Overtake so far: Lewis Hamilton around the outside of Alonso in Germany after defending from the same move from Webber the lap previously.
Best Funny-moment so far: Alonso hitching a ride with Webber.
Takuma Sato Award for Erratic Driving: Nick Heidfeld for his edge of the track flying front wing losses.
Most Surprising Result: Petrov in Australia
Least Surprising Result: Vettel in Australia
Best Grand Prix so far: Canadian Grand Prix
Worst Grand Prix so far: European Grand Prix
Season Rating: 4/10, Just for the fact its over already. 7/10 for the racing.
