Best Driver:
Sergio Perez – Ok, it helped that the strategy worked out perfectly, but he could have had a real shot at winning this thing if maybe they’d pitted him earlier, but then whose to say his tyres wouldn’t have gone off? Ok, I’m, waffling now. Still, stunning drive from young Sergio, the big question is, can he win a race this year?
Worst Driver:
Mark Webber – Only picked up places through pitstops. May have made an overtake or two, but I missed them. Was easily passed by his teammate, and then threw away any chance the team had for points with a rookie error. Ok, the tyres were shot, but so were a lot of other peoples, who didn’t make mistakes.
Best Team:
McLaren – Would easily have claimed a double podium had it not been for Button’s failure. Would it have been a 1-2? I’m not entirely sure, but a double podium definitely.
Worst Team:
HRT – Needs no reason.
Best Overtake:
Perez on Raikkonen – It was mega, and it went on for a while. Actually, all of them were, all of them.
Best Funny- moment:
Rocky screaming at Vettel to stop.
Most Surprising Result:
Perez in Second – After Spa, I thought they’d be strong in Monza, but from Practice and Qualifying that didn’t seem to be the case. To pull out second place, that was mega.
Least Surprising Result:
Hamilton winning from pole – It looked set from the off, unless his car failed.
Special Mention to:
Lewis Hamilton – For the win of the race. Jenson Button – For holding out all that time, and being unlucky with the failure.
Race Rating:
8.5/10
