Typical BBC getting someone to write a song for them. They really do treat F1 like a work of art sometimes. It’s a sport man for Gods sake!

I don’t know about Def Leppard, but it was certainly a massive anti-climax. Probably the worst part of the BBC’s coverage all year.

I wish the song had been a bit more chirpy. We’d had the best season in years (possibly ever) and it was such a depressing tune.

Def Leppard would have made it. Best thing about the last year of ITV coverage was ‘Rocket’ being played every time it went to an advert.

I quite like the song though, but it is a little downbeat for such an exciting season.

but i agree, the song could have been used at a better time.. say if we were saying goodbye to driver’s or commentators, or just goodbye in general.

but to sum up an awesome season they really needed an upbeat song, and def leppard probably would have done that.

i still reckon the F1.com spa race recap with Pendulum-Witchcraft is possibly the best F1 music/promo i’ve seen

I thought it really worked for the end credits. Upbeat is great after a good weekend but this was for the end of the season, so it was saying goodbye, not to a person but to a fantastic year of f1.
