the bbc have done another awesome job covering f1. the intro, pre-race show and race coverage are second to none. MB and DC are going to be a killer combination on air. if anyone has a complaint about the bbc’s f1 show, i DARE you to watch the speed tv program.
FOM world feed: graphics and info were really improved last year, with a minor update this year. notice how they match the angle of the F1 logo. the new tach is great, but not as big an improvement as counting the laps up, like a normal person. the camera work has really improved over the past couple years, as has the use of replays. melbourne 2011 is pretty much the exception. bring back the thermal camera!
bbc: fantastic pre-recorded clips for entertainment and the more hardcore tech stuff. martin’s grid walks were always hit or miss, nothing in between. lee and ted still doing their thing, jake and EJ doing their thing. martin is adapting to his new job as motormouth, much less painful than legard. of course, not having commercial breaks is worth its weight in gold (whatever that might be).
