Journeyer – struggling as well on that – definately a cover of Downtown and male vocals otherwise no idea – I think B52′s did a cover maybe i will search that out – anyone else help ??

Unfortunately, I don’t. :( Maybe those paying a license fee do, though? The BBC used to have a page where you can ask exactly this type of question (what songs they used for their coverage), but they’ve taken that down as well.

When the FOM race edit came out (and I figured out that song pretty quickly), I gave up on this one too, and just downloaded the original. It was much better anyway. Hehehe. Still, if anyone figures it out, I will call him/her a genius. :)

And yes, still can’t find anyone who knows who sang that Downtown cover.

Ron, if you’re referring to our open question on the Downtown cover, nope, it’s not Emma Bunton. The cover was sung by a guy.
