I’m sure we’ve had a topic which discusses the top 10 corners. But what’s the best corner of each track on the calender? My personal opinion:

Melbourne:
Turn 11-12 fast left-right chicane, very underrated corner imo.
Sepang:
Turns 7-8, the double right apex.
Shangai:
Turn 6, the fast left corner where Hamilton overtook Vettel this year.
Istambul:
Turn 8, too bad we wont have it next year.
Barcelona:
Campsa, nothing else is special on that circuit.
Monaco:
So many good corners, but I choose Loews harpin, unique!
Canada:
The final “champions” chicane.
Valencia:
The penultimate corner, spectacular camera view!
Silverstone:
A lot of good corners, but Maggots is the best imo.
Nurburgring:
Meh, Schumacher S.
Hungaroring:
Turn 4 is pretty awesome, blind and fast.
Spa-fracorchamps:
Blanchimont, though Eau Rouge and Pouhon are so close!
Monza:
Parabolica, any question?
Singapore:
“The Singapore Sling” (turns 1-2)
Suzuka:
130R, even though it’s been slightly revised.
Yeongman:
The final corner.
Yas Marina:
Truns 2-3 are the only good corners on that track.
Interlagos:
Turns 6 and 7, known as the Ferra Durra.

What do you think?

Errm…. Singapore Sling is the fiddly Turn 10 chicane; and Turn 6 in Shanghai is the hairpin before the corner you’re talking about.

Ooh…. hmmm…. Turn 2 all the way to Dengner 1 :D

The alternatingly on/off camber turns 11 and 12
Abu Dhabi
The turn 15-16-17 complex
Interlagos
Mergulho

duncan- the blind Hungaroring corner is T4. T6 is the entry to the chicane. “Turn 7 chicane” in Monza is the Ascari chicane ;)

Also, by Turn 11 Interlagos do you mean Mergulho, or Juncao?

Great Britain – Turn 9 (Corpse)

India – Turn 10 seems to be the best
Abu Dhabi – Terrible circuit, but if have to choose then Turn 3
Brazil – Turn 7 (Curva do Laranjinha)

I’m not sure how you can confuse Turn 7 for the hairpin.

Good idea for a thread Kingshark. I’d give an honourable mention to the Ascari Chicane at Monza, which is surely the best chicane in F1. It’s more of an S- bend, really

Ned it’s the one example I can think of right now where a chicane can be fun. It’s actually probably my favourite bit of track in F1 atm.

rem watching montoya at the ascari chicane during practice in 2004, he was mighty, I was hanging onto the top row of the stand, but thats another story!
