The championship on the old points system:
1.Alonso – 93
2.Webber – 88, -5
3.Hamilton – 87, -6
4.Vettel – 84, -9
5.Button – 77, -16
6.Massa – 57, -36
7.Kubica – 48, -45
8.Rosberg – 47, -46
9.Schumacher – 23, -70
10.Barrichello – 15, -78
11.Sutil – 15, -78
12.Kobayashi – 9, -84
13.Petrov – 6, -87
14.Liuzzi – 5, -88
15.Hulkenberg – 5, -88

In the old points system – If Webber wins the next two races, and Alonso finishes in 2nd place on both occasions, then Fernando will still win the WDC. But… on the current points system, the same scenario will result in Webber being crowned champ.
