    The season began at Bahrain,

Which turned out to be a real pain…

    Misfortune for Vettel,

Allowed Alonso to prove his mettle.

The Grid marched on Down Under.

Assisted by Vettel and Hamilton’s blunder,

Jenson hit the right Buttons to snatch the victory.

Next stop, Sepang, where Alguersuari created history.

A Red Bull One-Two and a qualifying nightmare,

Meant that the McLarens and Ferraris didnt turn up for the sunny fair.

As the teams headed off to The Sleeping Dragon

It seemed like Buemi was driving not in a race car, but in an old wagon.

Once again a Red Bull front row lock out.

In an act of desperation Fernando tried to take a quicker route,

Allowing Button and co. to share the spoils.

A long trip home to sunny Spain for Alonso,

Marred in part by the barcode design by Marlboro,

Which I must say gave that Ferrari livery,

    An extra touch of beauty.

The magnificent settings on the Sunday afternoon,

Really left Webber, Alonso and Vettel over the moon.

Hamilton and Massa struck yet again by rotten luck,

Schumacher fans however were still asking the question “What the @#ck ?”

F1 then got to show off its crowning jewel, The Monte Carlo Grand Prix

Year after year, the key to a good result had always been in Quali…

One which Alonso didn’t turn up for,

Cashed in by Webber who once again came to the fore.

    Turkey,

Was indeed the story of two Bulls gone quirky!

Next up was Valencia, the home of the European Grand Prix and other ‘things’.

Luckily for Mark Webber, Red Bull really did give wings!

As the season reached the midway mark,

The rift in the Red Bull garage was very stark.

At Silverstone, dubbed as the site of the Red Bull Civil War,

Webber put in his best performance of the season so far.

The result aptly put by him: “(It was)Definitely not bad for a number-two driver!”

On Massa’s first anniversary as a survivor,

Of that fateful crash at Hungary in 2009,

Ferrari once gave Alonso, a gift so divine,

The lesser mortals of F1 put up real ‘hoo-ahs’ and hollers!

And, Ferrari for a potential championship-altering action, were fined: a mere one hundred thousand dollars!

Hungary and Spa passed quite uneventfully,

With the exception of Vettel proving that he was a real bully!

The Italian Grand Prix, home of the Tifosi, was made all the more sweet,

By Alonso who gave the watching world a real treat.

After a gap that seemed like an eternity,

    The F1 fraternity,

    Finally arrived Singapore,

Where once again, everyone was witness to Fernando Alonso’s grandeur.

The Red Bulls woke from their slumber at the The Land of The Rising Sun,

While Hamilton fell into one!(forgive the bad pun :P)

With Fernando Alonso and Ferrari inching ever closer to the champ’ship lead,

Red Bull and McLaren needed to succeed.

Greed and bad luck once again playing spoil-sport for the Newey Army.

Alonso seized his chance and won the inaugural Korean grand prix.

Finally, Alonso was back as head honcho,

    Much to the woe,

Of the other pretenders to the throne.

Despite initial fears of Interlagos being hit by a cyclone,

Sunday was a day of joy and ecstasy,

For a “small team” from Brackley.

Now it all comes down to the wire,

If even the very thought of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix makes me perspire,

Imagine how hard it must be for those four men of steel.

Sunday will be a day of joy, sorrow, ecstasy & despair for someone-emotions that are purely real.

Well, I guess once again, only time will tell,

Until which In a cloud of thoughts coming at me at 320km/h I shall dwell.

Nice piece of writing. But what do you mean by “Hamiltons blunder” for Australia? The crash was Webber’s fault not Hamiltons.

Blunder in the sense, he crashed out.

Hmmm, but a blunder usually involves the person described as making a bad mistake.

    Good one Ashwin!

Sunday was a day of joy and ecstasy,

For a “small team” from Brackley.

… but I’m not so sure why it was a day of joy and exstasy for Mercedes… :P

@Teixeira, thanks for spotting that one mate, I put Brackley instead of Milton Keynes :P. I’ll change it now!
