I’ll do Massa because I remember his easily like Dan remember’s Alons’s.

Massa (dry)- Silverstone 2007. From the back to 5th and well into the points. How’s that for the one who can’t overtake?
I was tempted to say Hungary 08 or any pole lap around Brazil.
(wet) – Nurburgring 07. Led from Alonso while others faulted, was let down by silly tyre vibrations. He was a bit dfat with Alo but he didn’t give up and he showed he could carry on and do bloody well in some of the worst conditions.

I’ll stick Alo in too. Imola 05 or Brazil 08 but a mention to Singapore 08. He still needed those laptimes in Singapore so for pace alone I’m putting that in.

Yer I didn’t have the guts to say Alonso’s Singapore 2008 drive for fear of abuse, but I agree.

Can’t beleive I forgot Hungary 2008, deffinately Massa’s best race. Outdrove Hamilton in an inferior car, and that start!

For Webber Fuji 2007. Raced on despite a stomach illness which resulted in him throwing up his helmet. Was the fastest man on the track before the final safety car and may well have won if Vettel hadn’t run into the back of him.

    Bourdais deserved the penalty? Must…resist…going…off-topic…

I’m always down on Kimi here so I’ll say his two best drives were Spa 2008 and China 2008 – the poor guy couldn’t go any slower to let Massa get by him and Felipe still made a job of it! Everyone says Suzuka 2005 and it was special, but I would say he showed even more fight at the end of that Belgian race.

Speaking of Massa, I would say Brazil 2008 was his finest drive. He still managed to pull out a pretty commanding performance even with all the pressure on him. And his reaction afterwards endeared me to him for a long while.

Button’s best drive for me would be Brazil 2009. A little clichéd I know but he put in some fine moves that day.

Damon Hill’s for me will always be Suzuka 1996, despite Hungary 1997. on a day when he could take it easy and be world champion, he fought straight off the line and won the race.

For a blast from the past, Sir Jackie Stewart’s 1968 win at the Nurburging. He won in torrential rain by four minutes.

    Schumacher – 03 Spain, 06 Brazil, 06 China, 04 Italy
    Raikkonen- 05 Japan, 05 France, 09 Belgium, 08 Belgium
    Alonso- 06 Hungary, 08 France.
    Massa-08 Japan.
    Vettel-08 Italy
    Webber-07 Eupore, 09 Germany.
    Haikkenen-00 Belgium,
    Barrichello-03 British.

There are way too many to pick this are the one I came up with.

What about DC and Brundle – For DC I’d say either his trouncing of Schumacher at Magny-Cours in 2000 or finishing second at Barcelona just after being involved in that horrific plane crash.

As for Brundle, his first podium at Detroit in 1984 was something pretty special, and he drove well at Canada in 1992 and a chance to win before his car let him down.

I would say that DC’s second place in Austria in 1998 was one of his best, admittedly he had the help of the safety car and retirements but nonetheless, still great.

I’d say that Webber’s best drive was either his first win in Germany, or Monaco. Or when he plonked a truly awful Jag on the front row in Monaco (it may have been second row now that I think about it)

Fangio – Argentina 1955, Germany 1957. These two might just be in the top ten ever drives by anyone.

Aaah if we’re going for some from the 50s then Mike Hawthorn 1953 French Grabd Prix. Fangio vs Hawthorn. Ferrari vs Maserati.

Giles put in some stunning drives too. Can’t remember the one i’m thinking of but he was in first with a massive train of cars behind him the entire race

Spain ’81 is the one you’re thinking of.

Kimi is a tough one, for me it’s between Fuji 2007 and Suzuka 2005. People tend to forget how great his Fuji drive was from the back of the field to 3rd. I remember watching at the time and being amazed at some of his overtakes around the outside of turn 4. They looked even more epic when you see the on board footage as couple of years ago on youtube there was the entire Fuji race in onboard footage, best youtube vid ever shame it got removed.

Anyway i disgrees, but the point was he could see nothing but a wall of spray and still put it round the outside of cars the high speed turn 4. It was racing at its best.

If we’re going way back to older drivers like Hill. His best drive was either Suzuka 94 or Hungary 97. Its very very hard to choose between the two but I’d prob go for his effort in that dog of an Arrows, prob because it remains such a vivid memory from my childhood.

I think your right with Webber, his best drive was for is first win, his podium of best drives IMO would be…

1st – Germany 2009 (Got his maiden win, even with a drive through)
    2nd – Monaco 2010 (4 Saftey cars, need a cool head)
3rd – Australia 2002 (Putting a Minardi in 5th on his debut, no mean feat.
