Have to say I like the way Kubica looks in the Renault car from the onboard camera, works well as an avatar.

Mine is pretty simple, I’m an Alonso fan and I love his post victory celebrations on top of the car.

No prizes for guessing mine has a Simpsons theme too. At the moment it’s the devil Flanders, taken from one of the old Halloween specials, but I have others. One is a screenshot of him screaming, taken from the episode where he ‘kills’ his wife’s flowers! Another is of him holding a sign saying ‘BMW power’ (adapted from the Leftorium episode) based on his resemblance to Mario Thiessen!

Well, I’ve got a new one since last time.

My avatar is Prost in Senna’s slipstream. Two of the best F1 drivers, the strongest pairing ever, in the most dominant car, fighting for all they’re worth. Completelty different kinds of driver, but fighting on a level we’ll never see again.

One day, in Year 9, our Maths teacher brought in three goldfish that he’d recently bought in order to give them a new home in the bowl that sat, empty, on the cupboard in the corner of the classroom. Because we were his “favourite class”, he asked us to think of names that we could Christian these three fish with.

One of the names that was suggested – which was eventually given to the largest goldfish – was ‘The Magnificent Geoffrey’.

Assuming this works, it should be an old impreza WRC car on the rally stage at Goodwood, but is likely to change through various pictures I’ve taken till I decide on a more permanent one.

When I was looking for a name to use when signing up to a forum nearly ten years ago (the dearly departed Linksheaven.com) I happened to have the book of Blackadder scripts beside me, and I figured it was a name few people would know, and could therefore always be mine.

Mine (if it has worked that is!) is the Montjuich communications tower in Barcelona. You may recognise it ;-)

My avatar is my personal helmet made by myself as if I was in Ferrari in 2010.
It has a stylyzed “F”, to signify my initial and signature, and on the other side it’s green instead of red, so when looked from the front it’s green, white and red, like Italy’s flag (I’m Italian).

It’s Nigel Mansell’s famous helmet made from the union flag.

Nige being my favourite Racing driver ever, and he gets more stick than he deserves, if only more people knew what he had to endure during his racing career.

Fixy is the colour in the sort of style/arrangement as Liuzzi’s then? Is it an actual helmet or a photoshopped one? Sorry, I just adore helmets (I admit I’m weird) and think yours looks brilliant. A proper Ferrari fitting helmet.

Oh I have changed mine to Gilles. It was Massa but then right before the German GP I changed it to Alo and Mas in their Ferrari gear sharing a hug. A few hours later I thought it would be appropriate to change that image…

@ Scunnyman. Nigel Mansell used to live on the Isle of Man and was famously once described by Murray Walker as “the man of the race – the man of the day – the man from the Isle of Man” I was watching classic highlights on the BBC a few weeks ago they showed a clip of mansell climbing into his car and I spotted what looked like the three legs of Man on the back of his helmet. Don’t know how many races he had it for or whether it was some sponsor but being Manx I was still quite impressed.

Mine is a picture of priceless antique racing helmet as worn by Fangio in one of his earliest races.. You can still see the scuff marks from where he crashed it in to a hay bail.

My new avatar is the coolest shot to come out of this F1 season IMHO. Sutils literally flying into the sky in his FI. Not particularly meaningful but awesome.

What does IMHO mean?

Mine should have changed, I just changed it…it’s a helmet design I’d like made one day. Just got bored and started doodling. It’s a cross between Barichello’s circle/Sutil’s stripe/Button’s initials (my initials are JW) and the RAF roundel all in the British colours. :)

well mine is Alonso’s stunning podium jump, changed it after Korea which was quite possibly my favourite grand prix of all time, so far….

Well now I can join it’s obvious what mine represents. I wasn’t copying Fixy, i’ve had it on another forum for a few months now. Although Fixy’s helmets are great.

I put Liuzzi’s helmet as a momentary avatar as a tribute to my great countryman, perhaps the best driver of all time, and hoping he’ll be here next year.

Mine changes rather a lot. At first I used to find funny ones of Ned Flanders but I’ve since moved onto other Simpsons characters too.

My current one is a picture of Ralph Wiggum with a flute up his nose from the episode called ‘Round Springfield’

My pic is of who i’ve supported since the day he has stepped into the McLaren, January/February 2007. I used to follow F1 now and then through late 90s and early 00s. But ever since LH has come on the block, i have never missed a practice, qualifying or race.

Mine’s a logo that I designed for myself decades ago, an amalgamation of my initials R and B. It has now become part of my signature too.

Mine is a photo from GT5 of a Ferrari F2007. Its from my psp, so is on arcade mode, not bad though. Ill probably change my avatar again with another GT5 photo. (there are lots more!)

I got that F1 car on Mario Kart – it took me ages getting the 20 F-Laps you need on time trial – I should rename my Mii “Kimi” with all those super quick laps ;)!

The link you gave us is different for each user, each one sees his/her own avatars, and there is no way that we can see your other avatars other than the one you chose.

I hated the Arrows livery until I found a model of it and it’s grown on me.

I drew my special helmet for Monza (my home GP) 2011: it’s blue (Italy’s national colour), on top the Italian flag remains and in front there is the logo celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification (which is this year) (not visible in the avatar).

My newest avatar is one I’ve been using for a while on Twitter now. It’s a portrait of The Magnificent Geoffrey done by someone who is very dear to me.

Mine, if you can see it, some don’t appear to show up, is from the cover of the electric car racing set I had as a kid. Not Scalextric. My friends all had real Scalextric, but not me. My cars didn’t work on their tracks. I was sad. I loved my set but it was a bit lonely. My son is getting Scalextric. Maybe this Christmas.

Mine is a spoof design I created many years ago based on the old soviet hammer-and-sickle seal. Not because of any philosophical or political beliefs, but simply because I like the aesthetic. It’s a bit small on this site, so if anyone can’t make it out, it’s a can of spraypaint and a paint roller in place of the hammer and sickle, surrounded by the wreath of wheat, banner and red star.
